  1. Hi Raul Senise, so regardless of when I apply I won't go onto a bridging until the expiry of my current visa? So in that case I need to apply to have the six month restriction lifted as I need to be able to remain in my job to help to support myself and my partner and her kids. Is it possible to get the restriction lifted completely or is there a limit on the time you can have it extended by do you know? On the immi website it says that the extension is mainly for days or weeks rather than months but if I can demonstrate circumstances that dictate I need to remain in the job plus prove that I have applied for another visa then hopefully that would allow the restriction to be lifted? Thanks matt
  2. Thank you ozmaniac, our other evidence should be strong enough as we have tenancy agreements and rent reciepts etc. and Quinkla - yes we have thought about getting married but if its possible to get through by being registered then we would prefer to give us time to get family over from england for a wedding etc.
  3. Hi, My partner and I have been de facto for 3 months. I'm currently on a working holiday visa, when it expires we will have only been together for 9 months. We are going to register our relationship which bypasses the 12 months criteria however is there a set amount of time you need to be registered for? The issue we have is that I am only allowed to work for the same company for 6 months on my current visa and will need an extension as we need the money from my wages to pay rent on the house we rent etc so we are thinking of applying when we will have only been de facto for 6 months but we would have been registered for 3. Has anyone been in this situation before and got any advice on whether by applying early we may struggle to get the visa granted? And on whether or not the registered relationship carries a set amount of time to be eligible. Thanks, Matt
