Hi Everyone, Bit late on the uptake here, but I am in a similar situation. Cept I am currently here in Sydney staying with friends until 2 of my mates come over in December. Stupidly we hadn't booked anything accommodation wise when we booked our flights, and now that we are looking for accommodation it's proving impossible. Hostels are extortinate and have silly date restrictions which don't work for us, so we have been endlessly searching airbnb for an apartment for at least a week, which is also not proving to be very fruitful either. Does any1 have any alternative suggestions, websites to check? or if any1 wants to connect and all get a place together that would be awesome too. Mary Rose you mentioned renting a campervan, any suggestions what would be the best website to check, or place to go? Any help suggestions are grately appreciated, we are freaking out a little here.

Hi all, My name is Aduke, i'm 28 and arrived in Sydney 12 days ago. I feel as though I am at a slight disadvantage to meeting like minded people as I am currently staying with a friend who is local and we are living in Newtown. I would like to meet other backpackers and travellers. I'm currently considering moving into a hostel within the next few days just to meet some new people.
