I'm beginning an application for leave to remove, and would like any advice or experience others have had. I'm in the oxford area.

I looked into this myself recently. I believe you can sign a stat declaration with Medicare to declare you were abroad for the duration and therefor not liable! Best of luck x

Can I piggyback on the back of this thread.... I would love to hear from you dreamy fish, I am about to begin a leave to remove case. I have done a lot of research and just back from Australia which has confirmed my plans. Just daunted about the court process and would like some q's answered. Did you go it alone or have a solicitor?
