Hi. Called DIBP and was informed that the "Internal Verification" was not completed. They were not willing to commit on how much longer it is likely to take.... Looks like we have no other option but to wait and wait and ....... Any news @ ur end?

190 Visa submitted April 19th. Still waiting.... Been advised its under verification.. Hang in there... You will get it sooner than later...

Hang in there mate!! No use getting frustrated. Just get your mind off it for a week or two and before you realise it you will have your grant....

Hi @bleedinghurt. Similar situation here. We applied on April 17th and are waiting for the grant. Last request for documents was Jul 31st. We (Spouse and Me) had to resubmit what we had already given. Have contacted around 6 times since then directly and through our agent. We have been advised to wait as the case is under processing. They are unable to give any indication on how long it will take.... Looks like its hit some kind of road block. No idea when the case will be cleared. Our daughters admission into Uni is due soon and we are getting the jitters!!! Seeing other applicants have their cases cleared in 2 months or 3 months, makes us wonder if there is something wrong with our case. But then again if there is an issue it should not take them 7 months to say so.. All we can do is wait and hope for a quick decision... All the best.... hang in there am sure your grant is around the corner.....

Hi @bleedinghurt. No idea. We have been told our application is still under "Internal Verification/processing" and that no other docs are required for now. God knows how much longer this is gonna take. I have a hunch it might have something to do with our ANZSCO code/ACT SS combination not having a high priority overall. But maybe thats just me trying to justify the delay from April until now... Just hoping things are finalised soon... Try and get your mind off the grant for sometime and you should have it sooner than you know....

ACT. Was told that ACT grants are taking time... No idea what's true. Cause everyone has their own theories :wink: SA grants are moving fast... Hold on i think you will get it soon... Take Care...

Hi @Ss190. Still awaiting news... Last we checked about 3 weeks back, we were told it could take 2 weeks. Here we are 3 weeks down the line still... Our agent has suggested waiting another week before following up again. We are really confused, the time to put in Uni applications for our kid is looming closer and closer. Hope we hear something soon. Loosing sleep and sanity over this...

Hi. Thanks for the excellent update. If I am not mistaken, there is a survey conducted every 6 months for the 190 Visa Sublcass by the sponsoring state. How do you intend to handle this? Or have you taken any special permission to shift out of ACT?

Hi @Ss190 and @emwatson. We had our agent contact DIBP this past week. We were told that our application is in the final stages. But no time frame. Just Wait... Looks like we need to put our plans on hold and go with the flow...

Hi @emwatson. Thanks for the wishes. Its been 4 weeks since I have given them the documents they asked for (these were loaded upfront). I am planning to give them a call on Monday to check the status. What's gotten me real confused is on the Immi site it clearly mentions 3 months as the expected time for a 190 Visa to be processed. However during my last call I was told it would take 3 months from the date the CO was assigned! Another deadline is fast approaching which is the Uni admission and interview season. Looks like my daughter would miss the 1st Round. There is very little one can do except wait patiently for the Visa to be processed... Have a great weekend...

Hi @emwatson, you had mentioned that you are planning to call and chat with your CO. I have called DIBP but it looks like the phone is answered by an admin person. How do you get connected to your CO? Do you request the call is routed to your CO? Thanks again Wish you all the best hope you get a quick grant...
