Taking my TV to Australia. I have a 55 Inch LED TV which I have bought about 9 months ago. I compared the cost of similar TV in Sydney and it seems that I would have to pay a lot of money to buy the same TV there. Does anybody know how much money I need to pay customs for taking my TV through security? FYI: I am aware of the airline costs. I am only looking for fees I would end up paying customs.

I just called DIBP to inquire if there is any update in my application status. I was told by the nicest lady over the phone that my application has recently been assigned a CO and its currently being looked at. Awesome news!

I would really appreciate if people who got their updates since then, please update the tracker again Second and most important request, if anybody wants to play around with the sheet, they may do it in the copy I have made called Sandbox 189 Visa but we should all work together in keeping the master sheet clean.

@shellyk666 & @saurav Gupta, You guys definitely deserve to know something about your applications now. everybody around you two seem to have gotten at least some correspondence if not direct grant. I hope you two hear something this week. :ssign3:

@Matamanoa I have been in similar situation for almost a month. Day before yesterday I called DIBP to see if there was any problem. It was a long wait but finally a rep checked my medicals status and said, "Don't worry what it says on the application, your medicals have been received and you don't have to do anything else unless CO wants you to." Big relief!

@Becstar, I like to think of worst case scenarios (I am sure it won't happen to you). If you don't get invite before 25th, your tickets are going to be awfully expensive so I would suggest that you buy a refundable airline ticket. In US, airlines like southwest have free refunds in case our travel plans change. Its just my opinion.

For getting the health examination appointment sooner(in Seattle,WA, USA the waiting time for getting an appointment is really long) I had separately applied for getting my health declarations to get the Hap Ids. I can now see my health check results on emedical.immi I am concerned about why is this not updated in my 189 visa application. Any ideas?

I called IMMI Sydney office yesterday to check if a CO has been assigned to my case. I got a negative response and a suggestion from Customer Service Representative saying, "Processing time for 189 is 3 months, you should check back in another month if you don't have a CO assigned and be sure to upload everything you think is required in advance so that your visa processing don't get delayed". :dull::frown: TimeLine: ACS application: 15th April, + ACS Assessment: 28th May 2014, EOI submitted: 28th May 2014, Invite: 24th Jun 2014, Application: 25th Jun 2014, Proof of De Facto relationship(last document uploaded before medical): 17th Jul 2014, Medical: 25th Jul 2014, Visa grant: ??

Let me start with appreciating Shelly for starting this thread for nervous Jun-2014 applicants. My wife and I applied for 189 on 25th July and front loaded everything else but Medicals. Our Medical reports were uploaded by the Clinic on 25th Jun 2014. Now, its just waiting time. Just like lounrich, I check my ImmiAccount at least couple of times every day. This excitement is nerve wracking. TimeLine: ACS application: 15th April, + ACS Assessment: 28th May 2014, Invite: 24th Jun 2014, Application: 25th Jun 2014, Proof of De Facto relationship(last document uploaded before medical): 17th Jul 2014, Medical: 25th Jul 2014, Visa grant: ??:daydreaming:
