  1. Thanks guys, I am so annoyed at myself thinking convicted meant time spend or something more serious and when I think about it now, I cannot believe i was so stupid. I hope this doesn't affect anything or they think I am trying to hide anything, I\ll get the form 1023 in straight away. Thanks guys for your help
  2. Hi Guys, My police checks from the UK came back with a 'no live trace' and i know what it means, my question being, on my application during the 'character' section the only question related to my previous offence was 'Have you ever been convicted of an offence in any country', I have taken convicted to mean sentenced/gone to court etc and ticked no. I think I may have mis understood 'convicted' in this instance and wondered what to do to rectify it, if I need to at all. My offence was drunk and disorderly when I was 18, and i was given a caution, no time spent, no court etc I feel as though this needs to be declared in my application but feel as though ticking yes to convicted is also incorrect. Can anyone help please? Thanks guys Liam
  3. Hi Guys, Have my medical tomorrow so getting there, almost 14 months after submitting application ha! quick, potentially dumb, question. When we submitted our application, we also submitted one for my partner as the 'sponsor' essentially. I am wondering if that was correct as its been a while since reading the booklet, just freaking out that was incorrect. I have uploaded the majority of our evidence under my specific application and really just uploaded basic identification evidence under my partners. Was this correct? Thanks guys
  4. Anyone? This forum is the best at helping! Please help haha
  5. Hey guys, main filling out my form 80, one part has completely confused me and I don't want the reason I get rejected being that I filled out crucial paperwork wrong. if anyone is familiar with question 28, firstly asks am I applying for a temp visa (I select no as its 801/820 while 801 is temp, 820 is permenant). I then get to question 34 am I currently in Australia, i select yes, and it asks type of visa/reason/name used/place of issue/arrival date. Currently on a bridging visa, partner is reason, my name, what would be the place of issue as it was online? Question 35 asks about previous visa (have you been to Aus before) I was on a working holiday visa initially, but it also asks for departure date (I haven't left due to 801/820) so I'm TOTALLY confused. i would really appreciate help on this one as I don't want my stupidity being the reason I'm rejected. thanks guys
  6. Thanks guys, I always feel calmer once I've spoken to people on here ha! : )
  7. snifter, I received a generated e-mail reminding me to upload any evidence that may still need uploading, including police and health checks. I know that isn't contact from a CO, so should i still wait until contacted by a c/o in getting these things or should I get them sorted anyway? 13 months into visa processing time. Thanks
  8. Also, my e-mail wasn't being assigned a CO, it was more a generated 'more information required e-mail', is that a bad sign, that my evidence isn't strong enough? Or just a update that my application is moving along and to make sure everything has been uploaded? sorry, just freaking out a tad ha
  9. Hey guys, So I finally got an e-mail from the department basically instructing me to upload anything I hadn't done, which includes police checks and health checks, so I just had a few questions, if anyone could help, i would be incredibly grateful. Firstly on my initial application I uploaded form 47sp, which I was unaware at the time wasn't required for online submissions, will this be a problem? Secondly my main confusion is with the overseas police checks, I am from the UK and on looking, it mentions I need residential proof of my current address, unsure if I am required to provide that as obviously living in the UK. Just a bit unsure of that. Lastly will the police check be sent to me in Aus or will I need to 'nominate' a family members address for this to be mailed to and then get them to send to me, here in Aus? All getting very real now and i am starting to stress out, as many have experienced and imagined, this moment of the ball really rolling is a scary time. Any help would be so appreciated, everyone on here has been amazing previously Thanks again Liam
  10. you've done a good job explaining, i thought that was the case but haha
  11. Thanks guys for the advice, I think we will upload a few more things, we've got the space and it's more important things like joint health insurance and more financial evidence so I think it can't hurt to add a few more bits! i was thinking I'm still within timeframe so shouldn't be too worried about no CO just yet, just coming up to that year you start to get a bit nervous haha! But thanks again guys!
  12. to dumb this down for people (including me ha) what does this mean?
  13. Thank you so much, thats great to hear, do you think that it may also be a good idea to upload a bit of an update, like important aspects such as financial information etc?
  14. thanks for getting back to me, i am applying onshore, The wait tends to be much longer for some reason.
  15. Hello all, Just a few questions, as this is still the best place for help, and always much appreciated. It's been almost a year since I applied for my visa and still not a word, which is fine as processing time is still in play, but just wondering is it wise to still upload evidence at this stage, I haven't been assigned a case office yet so I assume my application hasn't been fully looked at yet. I have obviously uploaded 99.9% of my evidence, just my partner and I recently got joint health insurance and thats a pretty good piece of evidence. Just thought I would ask the forums advice on this. Also is it normal to have heard nothing within this time, like I know processing time is 12-15 months onshore, but we applied 19-12-14 (so almost a year) and not even heard anything from a c.o, should we be worried? ha Again thanks for all your help guys!
  16. you're both right and I appreciate it, thank you
  17. and while I have 100% complied with them, it doesn't state anywhere in their official guides to not upload evidence after the fact. Saying we either get one or we don't isn't particularly helpful as its peoples lives you know? I am not having a go at all, I just find it strange.
  18. I am not picking holes by any means but what I suppose I am getting at is, why have the option to upload evidence if it isn't going to effect my application after the initial upload. Also not everyones application is so cut and dry and things take time to come together. I have complete faith in the process but what I don't fully get is being advised by some to upload continously (important evidence) yet others say its what it is when you initially upload. That to me sounds ridiculous. thats all
  19. Also, I have read recently that they mostly look at the evidence you have before you apply. I think that is a tad silly in the sense that my partner and I didn't have a joint credit card or joint health insurance until after the application. which I don't think should be discredited you know? but it is the system I suppose
  20. Hey guys, I went onto my application and saw underneath the evidence I had uploaded like a get health check, or something similar. anyway when I clicked on it, I was asked a few yes or no questions. I don't recall seeing this before? Does this mean I should get on with organising my health check, like is that the way they give you the nudge to get that done? Or would I receive official word asking for it? Also after I completed the little questionnaire it asked me to print referral to bring along to an actual appointment. However I was at home when doing it and had no printer, I thought maybe it would open up into a document I could download. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated
  21. Thanks guys! Nemesis Im not angry at all, being ancy isn't being angry in the slightest and i am well aware and happy to wait 'like the rest of you'. Your response seemed angry tbh. Anyway thank you to the rest of you, it's always good to get some feedback and hear others stories etc !
  22. Hey guys, firstly this forum has been the most helpful tool during my application process. i applied in December for my partner visa. It currently states that my application is in assessment. Good indication of it moving along quickly? Anyway I wanted to once again submit to you guys my evidence and what we will also be submitting for evidence so you could give me feedback whether you think its decent and what else we could add. My statement Partners statement Proof of address while living in Melbourne together Board payments to partners mother while living in Melbourne Joint Lease of our apartment in Canberra Utility invoices (not joint, but explained that we each pay certain ones) Stat dec from 2 close friends stat dec from 2 of his family members statement from my father Phone evidence of our times apart Various flights together various accommodations together Money transfers between the two of us furnishings purchased from the both of us for our home. Wedding invites addressed to the both of us my superannuation stating my partner as beneficiary Cards addressed to us during the holidays Civil partnership certificate Nature of household statement future plan statement Photos of us with family, friends and at social events Still to upload. Our joint credit card joint health insurance copy of gym membership with the same gym Is there anything else you think I need to add? Is what i have already supplied a decent amount of valid evidence? It's been almost 8 months since we applied so I think I am starting to get a bit ancy haha Thanks guys Liam an update on everything
  23. Howdy, Quick question, in regards to uploading the evidence are there like text boxes to explain what the evidence is and shows? Like for example i have a copy of the phone contract my partner signed up for me, which I have paid for since being issued. Will there be somewhere to explain that ? Thanks guys Liam
  24. I did some research regarding whether a civil union is still an acceptable form of waiving the 12 month requirement and it is so that's pretty good, I would have been surprised if it wasn't. Our certificate arrives on the 22nd so we are still applying the 10th as there will be no chance someone looks at our application that soon and EngAus thanks for the tip we will also be adding the result, just in case ha! So now that the situation of the 12 months is taken care off, going back to my initial post, is our evidence a decent amount?
