  1. Hi Rugratz congratulations  I am so jealous ! From what team did your grant email come from? Adelaide or Brisbane?
  2. Congratulations :tongue::tongue::tongue: You must feel so relieved now Can you share the team who issued the visa? Is it Brisbane or Adelaide?
  3. Hey congratulations  Can you share the details of case officer who issue the grant? Is it Brisbane or Adelaide team? Thanks
  4. They updated their allocation date and after a month, it changed from 1st March to 4th of March!!! http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/estimated-allocation-times.htm
  5. Some lucky March applicants already got CO....it is no brainer that immi use this in an effort to stop people calling asking for CO. If you do not have CO, all you need to do is to look at the cut-off date at which ALL applicants already got CO allocated. Of course the date is not always reflect real-time allocation as AK already had case officer or some other early March applicants. The delay email is very common since the current program year is close to an end and quota for 190 is nearly used up. There are some places left and there is a chance you might get grant before end of June, your CO wouldn't know when for sure that is why he/she cannot answer you confidently. If you do not get grant this year, then the new program year kicks in 1st July and 190 starts fresh with new quota, it is HIGHLY LIKELY you will get your grant then. DIBP has strict planning for each year how many migrants are coming to Australia, therefore you will not be granted this year if they runs out of quota for 190. Don't worry, sooner or later you will get grant!!!! Hope this helps.
  6. Hi guys, they just updated the Allocation dates site: http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/estimated-allocation-times.htm According to this, all applicants applied before 1 March already got allocated. I guess next time they update in June it will be all applicants applied before 1 April got allocated The same website used to state 7 weeks for 190 visa, I guess they change how they update information now, which is even better for people who are waiting passed 7 weeks and have no idea. They also advised please do not call for information on CO allocation, just check back this website for update...
  7. People who applied late Jan and early Feb started getting grant recently It means there are still places left in the current program year and hopefully some of us March will get grant soon... Otherwise on 1/7 start of new program year, there will be more than 20000 places available for 190 so we will just get our visas then. Applications are still processed as normal, but finalised after 1/7 so don't worry
  8. You would be fine The budget 2014-2015 says they will continue the skilled migration program at 190,000 places So just hang in there you will get visa sooner or later, there will be no (significant) change of the skilled migration program...
  9. Didn't you upload a passport photo for each applicant already? Passport photo is included in the identity requirement. You can scan the passport photo with name written underneath or you can use one of the smartphone apps to take a digital one
  10. why do you think you need to upload personal photos?
  11. Just thinking if you are living in Dubai it is almost 100% you will need to supply form 80
  12. i know 2, applied the 4th and 5th of March and 1 applied from 5th March got grant 31/3
  13. The link should look like this: Complete character assessment particulars for this applicant when you click on it, it will open a window which you can download form 80. This form is sent off to spy agency so they can check whether you are totally ok to enter Australia The police clearances are different, you need to obtain one from each country which you have lived for more than 12 months each. In my case I need one from my home country and one from Australian Federal Police... Good luck with form 80.
  14. I lodged later than you on 27/3 and yes my status is still 'In Progress'... I have not heard anything from CO however a link to character assessment popped up (ask for form 80) under document required list after 4 weeks, I don't know if you have the same thing yet Processing time depends on case officer, documents uploaded in full. If you already done police check and medical and have no problem with points claimed documents, I believe it wouldnt be too long I have seen people got grant ranging from 4-14 weeks, onshore moves quicker than offshore...
  15. Does Engineering Australia require work experience as part of skill assessment? I have seen people got rejected because CO only counts experience after being skilled. You should check carefully point. I wouldn't worry about the date difference, 3 years 2 months or 3 years are essentially the same thing to CO
  16. You don't need to certify passport photo, if you read carefully the document uploading guideline you will see they do not ask for passport photo to be certified. In my case and my partner case, we took our 'passport photos' with one of the Android apps (just search for passport photo u will see many apps). Simply take a selfie of your face with shoulder, no smiling with the apps, then it will crop to passport size for you, then you upload that file (jpg.) Hope this helps!
  17. Oh that's cute! Hope you and your family will have a great future ahead in Australia
  18. I already uploaded it. Because I did not receive any email from case officer, just the link popped up. Does that indicate I have CO already and if you have the same experience or not.
  19. I believe you have full work rights while on bridging visa! Check the acknowledgement email that DIBP sent you...there are conditions followed the 'bridging visa A granted' page.
  20. I made a call after 3 weeks of lodgement. Waited for ages and the man told me there is no benefit whatsoever for me to know if there is a case officer or not. The department does not withhold information and as soon as case officer needs something or decides on the case, he or she will email me. I guess it is quite correct. Just be patient and wait for the 3 months to pass before you make another call They will be more helpful then. Let's hope you won't get to that stage though
  21. Someone applied from 5-3-14 and got direct grant on 31-3-14 (onshore). Don't be too disheartened
  22. I applied on 27/03 and after 4 weeks, a link to Complete character assessment particulars for this applicant popped up under documents required list, which asks for form 80 to be filled and uploaded. Does anyone experience the same thing? Some people told me it means case officer is working on the case and required nothing else apart from form 80. (since I already done police checks and medical exam). Whereas some other said don't pay attention to it much.
