I am an Australian permanent resident and put in for a partner visa in the UK in early Feb 2014. We have a case officer and have been told that my husband needs to do his police check and health check in early May as they run out after 12 months! They have told us that his partner visa will be 8 to 9 months. I have to return to Australia at the end of April so that means we are going to be apart for at least six months. We are elderly and have only been married since last October. Does anyone know if partner visas are being processed faster than the timeline stated?
