I think this is the case only for Western Australia. that too for schedule list 2 occupation of WA.

@ Nickbray: I am not aware about this. http://www.migration.wa.gov.au/skilledmigration/Pages/HowtoapplyforStateSponsorship.aspx also speaks about it. Do we really need to have a employment offer for 190 visa to be granted for Western Australia ? This is surprising.... When is this effective from ????

@ Joydeep, I forgot to ask the date my CO was allocated. But they said that the CO is allocated. Should have asked the date also. Missed it. I live in India. I called immi on +61131881. Just dial this number from your mobile. You get an automated voice followed by the waiting time of 10-15 mins before someone attends your call. I have finished my Medical and PCC. Medicals is uploaded. PCC I didn't upload. Waiting for my CO to contact me. What about you. I see that you are waiting for a long time for CO to contact you. Have u uploaded your PCC and Medicals.? You must be allocated the CO. I think he didn't contact you. Just call +61131881 and confirm with immi.

Found this info in immi site. ------------------------------- When your application is allocated to a case officer, you will be notified within two weeks and provided with an email address for all future correspondence. Your case officer can assist with further detail on how to obtain specific clearances, and confirm the validity of any previously obtained clearances. "so the case officer must contact us within 2 weeks after he is allocated"

Good Zhuzhu99 !!! I also called the Immi, they said that the CO is allocated for my visa application. But the CO has not contact me yet !!!

@Sephie(Feb 11) Good that you got your CO allocated Keep us posted if you get a Grant @Zhuzhu99(Feb 9) Did the CO contact you? I heard from immi, that CO are allocated within 7 weeks. Some CO contact you immediately, while others take some time to contact you....

Hi Tigerfeet, My agent said that if all documents(including Medicals and PCC) are uploaded upfront, then even if the CO is allocated you will not come to know because he has all the documents available with him. He will give you a direct grant. The CO contacts you only if he requires the document. Cheers !!!

Hey Thomas, I think we need to wait for 7 weeks excatly to get the CO. Only on the 7th week you hear about the CO. I am on the sixth week now. Regards, Kapil

@Roxy1990, But why is that some are receiving the Grant ???? In this forum itself, There are some people who lodged on Jan 28th and got a grant ? Is that your final status. R u done with your PCC and Medicals????? So do you need to wait till July untill you receive the Grant ? Regards, Kapil

@eddieb7 and @weaz Thanks for letting us know. Based on the timelines, I see that Both of you got the CO for 190 visa on the 7th week Because I see that, there is some news spreading on the delay of 190 Visa. But still the Australian government has not confirmed anything officially

Ya, I noticed it. It was updated on Mar 3 ,2014. The 190 Visa Processing time has been reduced from 6 months to 3 months. Lets hope for the Best to happen !!!
