  1. such a shame there is no sponsership for this job, i currently work for Vodafone UK in operational delivery, manange the only UK team that are Sabanes Oxley compliant which allows for Vodafone UK to trade with the USA and world. responsible for all contractual bonuses, which includes cash payments, hardware funds, professional services, onsite managers for companies across the world that have UK accounts. Have worked for Vodafone for the last 10 years starting in collections managing account ledgers, payments, allocations and debt recovery, moving within department to Account Query team, managing customer accounts from start to finish if any disputes on the account until all issues resolved and account up to date with payment, then to billing queries, resolving incorrect billing, to current role of 7 years as initially described, which means day to day collaboration with commercial, marketing, legal, contracts, customer services, collections, sales and finance to ensure all contract details are met.
  2. Hi Sammy 1 After 5 years an absent spouse cannot contest a divorce and as they are in different countries and my boyfriends ex has already had large sums of money out of the relationship, his pension does not need to be included. the only thing she can then do to stop the decree being granted is if she can prove that by the court granting it will leave her in poverty and destitute. Hopefully it will be the same in Australia now we know he can apply to the australian court.
  3. Hi Que Sera Sera Not in Australia he hasn't yet, but is going to in the next couple of weeks. we had hoped his ex would agree to the divorce in the UK but she still won't even after all this time without his pension rights. We did not realise he could apply to the Australian court as he is now an Australian citizen ( Sept this year) and lived as a resident for nearly 5 years until the post earlier in this thread. This is a big boost
  4. Thank you Ryan and Ozmaniac, We thought as she is in the UK and that is where they where married there that was where he would have to apply for it and in the UK have to be seperated for 5 years for an uncontested divorce. So finding out it isn't like that in Australia and he can apply there is great news TC
  5. Hi Rupert No need to be sorry, it's what we both thought to be honest.... greedy ex just in the way. x TC x
  6. Hi all My boyfriend has duel citizen ship (UK born) and been living in Aus since 2009, he and his wife have been seperated for nearly 4 and 1/2 years but not divorced. long story short she won't agree without him agreeing to her getting his pension. He paid off large amount of her debt before emigrating, put her son through Uni and she emptied their joint account when they seperated and she moved back to the UK. After 5 years he can apply for an uncontested divorce and can prove the money she has had so not entitled to his pension. Question is will the decree absolute need to have been granted before we can apply for a PMV or if it is in progress is that enough to qualify. Any help will be really appreciated TC. x
  7. Hi all thank you all for the advise it really is appreciated, definately think the PMV is our best option, we would want to get married, but possibly a little unusually i'm not in to all the fluff and fuss so costs would be minimal  twe just want to be together and will do whatever it takes to achieve it. there does seem to be quite a varience in how long the application can take, and what CO you get. what documents and checks to have in place and what not to have before applying,..... even the immigration government website seems to contradict itself. Oh and Quinkla, TC is great many thanks again all TC.. xx QUOTE=Quinkla;1936382271]Hi Bosscat (or do I get to call you TC?). That's exactly what I meant. If people have met you both and will sign statements then you are fine - I just thought there was a chance you might have only communicated virtually in recent years which would have necessitated visits so people could say they had met you both.
  8. Hi Chimera you are spot on, we first met many many years ago, he asked me out then and i refused as i was a stupid teenager... reallly wanted to but kids eh!!... The UK holds nothing of what he/we want, why would you leave a job, home and lifestyle that gives as it does in Aus. He had said he would come back if it is the only way to be toether but i will do whatever it takes to avoid that. x
  9. Hi Quinkla Appreciate i couldn't move until the visa was granted, and his neighbours met, spoke and saw us together when i visited, we have mutual friends from the UK and Oz that know and will vouch for us, hopefully that is the evidence you mean. T. x
  10. we are both willing to do what we can to be together, know each other for a very long time and going to Aus last month just confirmed everything for us, thank you for the good luck, here is hoping it rubs off. x
  11. thanks NickyNook, just never thought that being a student would be an option but will take a look at the options now, thank you
  12. Hi GeorgeD thank you so much for the positive reply, it's amazing the varying replies you get. Some thinking it could be a fling or just looking to get a visa. Definately not looking at marriage for a visa, we want to be together married or not. No stone will go unturned for both of us to be together just finding the right one is the tricky bit.
  13. Hi Parleycross it is definately not a fling, that i can assure you of but thank you for the message
  14. Hi boganbear it wouldn't be until next year as i have work, my flat (rented), grown up daughter living at home so need to either get her on the lease or wait until she has her own place, and finances to sort out, by that time we will have been together over a year, with evidence of daily contact. Extremely unlikely he would come here except for holiday, as he has a really good job in Aus, so me going there is really our main option. Any advice?
  15. Hi Snifter We started looking at the options for partner visa but it said you had to have been living together for 12 months (how when we ilive in different countries) then we decided to ask for advice on here as he found it really helpful when he emmigrated 5 years ago. So we are now looking at the PMV, thank you for the link ... have had people say you can still get a partner visa if you have enpough evidence of being together even if you haven't lived together but haven't found anything to support that and nearly everyone so far on here seems to recommend the PMV as the option as i do not qualify for working or student visa. x
