Hi guys, we lodged our visa in December and even with the delays we had with having to get extra health reports for my little boy we were granted our 189 visa last week. Hang in there and be honest and open with your case officer, if you cant meet a deadline they set you fro extra info, let them know, as long as they know they are fine. Also if anyone is lucky enough to have Enzo Santin as there case officer he is bang on, he was very open with us.

got my case officer on friday, went for medical yesterday, now it slows down for us as they need to gather more ongoing care information regarding my son, we took all the paperwork but they need direct referral letters from docs, he thinks it shouldnt be a problem and after letting my CO know they have granted an extension to the 28 days!

We used a fella called Mick Breen as our migration agent, his company is called destination oz, his prices were very reasonable and he was on the ball all the way through, supplying us with examples of references etc. we haven't done our police or medical checks yet, apparently they will advise when you need to do this, the medical bit will probably slow down our progress as my little boy had heart surgery last year and imagine the aussies will want further info on this
