Hi we are in Hamlyn terrace about an hour from Newcastle, feel free to get in touch we are in our 50's early 50's i might add lol!! now i feel old

We are living in a place called Hamlyn terrace about half an hour from Lake Macquarie, and we go to Lake Macquarie a lot now , some lovely areas around there, have you been to rafferty's the Resort there it is lovely!! we have been living where we are now for about 3 years and there is a lot of land available round here , so lots of New Build going in, we used to live nearer to Terrigal in a place called Green Point and then have moved further North, we do not have younger children either two in their twenties now, i think you have picked a good area as it is building up faster now. Every where has Good and bad areas unfortunately but i think you soon get to know where you would like to be. Where are you from in the UK, ??? we have been in Australia now for 7 years from Chelmsford Essex my husband and I emigrated From England over a year ago and have been living in W.A (south of the river, For anyone who knows) And we now want to move over East to be close to family and friends. We are very interested in the Lake Macquarie area And want to know peoples thoughts on living in the area and the best/worst suburbs. We don't have children so being close to schools is not an issue but we would like to be close to the lake and amenities as well as it being a quiet area. Also does it have the hoon/bogan problem that W.A has (sorry hope that does not cause Offence) Look forward to people's comments many thanks

Hi, Havent been on here for ages and just want to know if there are any other people moved here from the UK living in Hamlyn Terrace Lake macquarie area/any Central Coast area, we have older children in 20's Teenage children, early 50's just looking for people in our age group, myself and husband Mark.:biggrin:
