I just wondered if there is anything from the NMC I need to request other than verification of my registration in the uk as ahpra keep saying they may need more info to prove my course of study was accredited? Surely the NMC would not register a nurse if there course wasnt accredited. Its all very confusing! Wish id had the money to use an agent ha!! Thank you for your reply x

Hey everyone Hopefully someone can help, I lodged my ahpra application 4th june. I rang them this morning to see whats going on. The guy said my application was at central board assessment and they may be contacting me regarding my qualification and may need more info from my registration board (which will br nmc) to confirm my bsc degree is equivalent to Australia's? I already had proof of registration sent to ahpra and they had my transcripts from uni erc. So what else could they possibly need? Does anyone have any idea? Im losing the will to live!! I started the whole skills assessment/visa process last November and still awaiting a decision! ! Will it ever happen! !!???? Thanks x

wow!! how long have you bern in oz then and where did you move from? its good to hear other experiences. so do you think it would be worth applying direct to the hospital and getting into wherever is available just before moving and then being more selective once in QLD? Thanks for the info!

Hi everyone I have just completed medicals and am now awaiting my visa and ahpra registration. All currently being processed. I would like to think they will be done by august time. How sokn would people suggest I start applying for jobs as a nurse? Id like to have at leadt interviews before I book my flights. Didn't know wether to wait for visa and ahpra are finalised or just go for it and contact prospective employers? Would appreciate advice [emoji4]

Hi everyone. Is there anyone that can tell me if I can apply fir ahpra before my visa cones through? As when I was filling in the form and thet ask for proof of identity (which im sending my uk passport) it says "with Australian visa" next to it? So i just had my visa invitation and am applying but wanted to get the ball rolling with ahpra as heard it takes a while? Does anyone have experience with this? Would appreciate advice. Thank you x

Yeh every one finds it different but as gumster saud it is generic. I found it useful speaking to the agents and there a good idea if you can afford one (quite expensive! ). Good luck x
