Thank you for your reply, that really does give me encouragement. I know once I get my foot in the door, I'll be fine. I do have the 4 years higher education and can teach a number of subjects. I've just registered my interest for a job with a Catholic school which is linked to my former college in the UK. I'll just see what happens...

Hello people, I have a major dilemma on my hands here... My partner moved to Aus last week on her 457 visa. I am on as her spouse, therefore I can go anytime. The only reason I've stayed behind is to get 2 solid teaching years under my belt to enhance my chances of getting a job Here is my career in brief.. History\RE Teacher finished my NQT year July 2013 First set of GCSEs excellent Promoted to Head of PSHE this year. OFSTED quoted my lesson in the overall inspection... Excellent observations throughout my NQT year So I'm staying in the UK to enhance my career but unhappy as I'm on my own... I'm thinking of quitting my job and heading over at Christmas... Do you think the extra managerial year will be recognised in Aus? I'm looking at teaching in a private/Catholic school.... Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
