Hi all, I wonder if anyone has similar situation. My Parents were planning to visit us last year. So, we applied for visitor visa subclass 600. They were granted visa expiring on December 2016. Unfortunately, we had medical emergency in the family, because of which they had to travel and stay in USA. They can't come to Australia until February 2017. This means that their visa will expire before they make their first entry in Australia. Will there be any issue because of this, if we apply for their Visa on February 2017 again? Or is there anything that we can do to or inform immigration about the situation before their visa expires? Thanks in anticipation. Navin

Hi all, How fast is team 34 brisbane? We submitted form 80 on tuesday. When can we expect grant? Also, each form we sent by email had size more than 5mb. Can they receive such huge file in their email successfully?

I am not sure how exactly grants are scheduled...But I think it should be any day of the week and any time of the day as I saw somebody writing that they got grant in the evening.

Called DIAC yesterday. Case officer (Brisbane team) was assigned on 10 October 2013. But CO has not contacted yet. If he has asked for some information from my country, then there will be delay in decision as it's festival time there and everything is closed for a week or two.

I called DIAC on Thursday. I was told that our application has been assigned to Brisbane team, but no CO allocated until Thursday. Hope we were also allocated with CO on Friday. Fingers crossed..

Is there anyone who has lodged for visa around August 15? So it's 7 weeks complete but we are not assigned with CO yet. Hope that we will be assigned with CO by next week. Can it take more than 8 weeks for CO assignment?

Hi, If you are on periods they will ask you for retest after a week of last day of your periods. My wife went immediately after 7 days of her last day of period (considering 5th day as the last day). That was the mistake we did. For safe results go for retest at least 14 days after the first day of your periods (as some might bleed even on 7th or 8th day of the period). Also, drink plenty of water before the urine test. If possible do not go for the test early morning as I have heard that morning pee might have some traces of blood even in healthy person (but I am not sure about it). You will get two more times for retest at MediBank and it costs nothing as long as they don't refer you to your GP. If you have already applied for medicare, you can use it for your visits to GP and lab tests.

Hi Friends, We had applied for 189 visa on August 15, 2013. We are still waiting for CO allocation. I am just wondering if there's anything else to do after submitting the application through ecom.immi.gov.au? We filled up all the forms and uploaded all the documents on 15th Aug 2013. When I login to the saved online visa application page (ecom.immi.gov.au), on the right hand side on the "Related Information, it was showing "Status: In Progress". But now it has turned to "Status:Application received". I am not sure if there's anything we missed. Also, we had received an email on 15th August with title "IMMI Acknowledgement of Valid Application Received" and two attachments: "IMMI Acknowledgement of Valid Application Received" and "IMMI Visa Application Summary". Does it mean that we had done everything that needs to be done to apply and just wait until we are granted with CO? or Is there anything we missed?

Hi, All the best. So finally August applicants start allocated with CO. We applied on 15th Aug. Expecting CO allocation soon.
