  1. Only you can really make a good decision on this one. I'll give you my personal opinion though. I would stay. I would try to save money away so you can visit your family in the UK once a year. As for moving I would stay in OZ. I posted in some previous threads I was willing to leave Northern Ireland (do to the conflict) even if that meant I had to see my family less often. I have been really enjoying life here. I love the weather, the women are beautiful, Melbourne is amazing, the people are nice, I have a secure and decent paying job, plus I have a nice house in the burbs (20 mins away from the City Center). That is great but there is one big thing. Now in Aussie, I can walk down the street without having to worried about being killed. My mom was killed (because she was catholic) as a result of the conflict and I had been caught up in a number of bomb attacks. I have a house in Belfast I bought two years ago (since I the conflict is getting better). I visit it about two weeks out of the year. It is nice to go back and visit Belfast, but I would never even think about permanently moving back. I'm an Irish-Autralian now. I don't want to go back, but if you really want to and you have nothing to loose, I say go for it!
  2. Was easy for me to leave the bombs and gun fights of Belfast. I don't have any family down here, but I have lots of friends! I take a week or two out of every year to go visit my family in Belfast. I understand missing your family though. When I came out here I came with two friends so I didn't really miss them to the point I would move back (too busy partying with them Aussie girls ). I guess not seeing my family was just a sacrifice I'd make. Things got better in 98, but still, it isn't all great there.
  3. I left Ardoyne in 2001 when I was 18. Been living in Melbourne ever since. 9 years and going strong. I have a home in Belfast but I don't think I'll ever move back there. Too many reasons to stay. Plus I got tired of checking under my car for bombs everyday
  4. Thanks Karen! Will surely give the one in Eagle Park a try (heard a bit about it before).
  5. I was looking for something with centerfire rifle, rimfire rifle, and handgun if possible!
  6. Any shooters out there now any good ranges around the Melbourne area? Say no further than an hour?
  7. My advice would be to stay in Australia and forget the UK
