I have been waiting for the grant. My medical have been deferred because of chest X-ray. I had been called by e medical clinic for further examination in mid of April. Now waiting when will be the outcome? It is mentioned in the email that some examinations and results may take 90 days.

All have been done and submitted, waiting for the grant.

I have submitted my application on 02 December 2014. I have mailed the filled copy of form 1221, 80 and all scanned documents to my consultant. He will upload all my documents but he has not uploaded yet. I am planning to move to Melbourne or Perth but it depends upon job prospects when I will reach there. I am unable to submit my application (189) because of issue related to online payment through credit/debit card. Almost all debit cards issued by the Pakistani banks having online transaction limit PKR 200,000 to 250,000 (AUD 2200 t0 2800). The limit of 350,000 (AUD 3800) is issued only to hgih salaried persons in case of credit card. Most of my friends or relatives who have credit cards have not a such high limit to pay the fee in one transaction. I need advice or solution from someone especially from Pakistan who have submitted his application how can I pay my fee? My EOI will expire on 26 Dec. I am single applicant and have to pay AUD 3520 and with charges around AUD 3850.

This occupation is the combined group of Engineers and you are right that last three or four job description related to Production and Plant Engineer. If you are working in production units and working as a control engineer you would get assessment in this category. There are threads at this forum in the past in which people share their experience that they got positive skill assessment as Production Engineer but they were working as Control Engineer. You have to prove in your CDR that your projects or job role increse the production of plant or increase the efficency of plant or a long problem in control networks that was causing production loss and you had solved it by your engineering approach ot you have applied recent developments in control engineering at your plant that results in smooth operation of a plant.

Why am I considering second in 189 but third EOI under occupation of Production Engineer? The Ceiling value of Production Engineer with Mechanical and Industrial Engineers is 1680 which is high as compare to Chemical Engineer which is 1000. DIBP issue 12 to 15 invitations of Chemical Engineers while around 50 invitation for former engineers. Hence, the chances of getting early invitation are high in former engineering occupation. Furthermore, I will lose points of may age in May 2015 so it is essential for me to get invitation before it. I hope you understand my point of view. Any other suggestion?

Hi all, I have two positive skills assessments from EA as Chemical Engineer and Production Engineer. I applied for skills assessment as Production Engineer at the beginning of this year on the assumption that Chemical Engineer would not be SOL list of 2014-15. I have already submitted two EOIs one in Skilled Nominated 190 (NSW) and other in Skilled Independent 189 under the nominated occupation of Chemical Engineer. I want to submit third EOI in Skilled Independent 189 category under the nominated occupation of Production Engineer. I have only seven months to get the invitation otherwise I will lose 5 points of age. As a consequence, my points will redcue to 55 in May 2015. May I submit two EOIs in Skilled Independent (189) category under two different nominated occupation? Thanks to all in advance who will guide me and share his/her advice or knowledge.

Dear All I am writing to seek advice on my points of age. I was born at 23 May 1982. I am 32 years and 5 months old now. In which age group do I lie? Either 25-32 or 33-39. If I lie in former group my age points will be 30 and my total 60. On the onther hand, if I lie in the later group my age points will be 25 and total 55. I need valuable advice from some one on the basis of his experience. If I have assurance of former group then I will submit my EOI. How can I seek advice from DIBP by mail in this regard?

Yes, a Chemical Engineer will also be a Production Engineer if he works in a production unit. The process engineers have been working in Oil and Gas, Refineries, Petrochemical and Polymers plants are also performing a role of production engineer. I'll send them every single document again to speed up the process. Thanks for your advice.

I got skill assessment as “Chemical Engineer” in May, 2013. By that time states has closed the application in this category. The DIAC also announced that it will issue invitation on pro rata basis due to high number of applicants under this category.I am going to assess my qualification and experience again as “Production Engineer”. Does anyone have experience of twice assessment of skills from Engineers Australia? Kindly share your experience in brevity. According to DIAC on 2 September, 2013:Due to the continuing high numbers of EOIs received for the following six occupations, invitations for these occupations will be issued on a pro rata basis in each twice monthly invitation round over the remainder of the program year: Chemical and Materials Engineers ICT Business and Systems Analysts Electronics Engineers Telecommunications Engineering Professionals Other Engineering Professional Software and Applications Programmers. I didn't understand what it means? If someone logged its EOI in one of the following occupations with high points score, his application will consider first. I mean a high score will increses the chance of getting early invitation. Who will be consider first among high number of applicants? If someone have any idea, explain it.

I am focusing on IELTS to improve my bands. I’ll appear in the exam after full preparation. I am very anxious about the occupational category “Chemical Engineer”. I am afraid it won’t be in the next SOL list. I am thinking about the re-assessment of skill as “Production”. I am considering the pros and cons of it before the decision. Dear Zeroman, Thank you very much for your reply in detail. I have never been to Australia and haven’t any visa and Australian qualification. Age, education and experience make my points 55. (Age: 30, Experience: 10, Qualification: 15) Which option do I follow first, IELTS or Skill Assessment as “Production Engineer”. I think we don’t need to sign every report by senior engineer, letter from company stating your job responsibilities is suffice as I did in previous skill assessment. Have you got the assessment result as “Plant and Production Engineer”? Do I send the IELTS test report form again? If result get positive then what happened with previous skill assessment? Will they revoke it? If don’t than I will have assessment in two professional categories i.e. Chemical and Production Engineer. I’ ll seek advice from my consultant too.
