I have been teaching for over 15 years with a teaching qualification from the United States and the UK. I have a Bachelor's degree ( 4 year), Master's degree in Education as well as a PGCE in education. I am a head of year currently. My husband is leaning strongly towards the 189/190 for the security. 457 we can go over quickly but I would rather take my time and do it properly! We don't have children so schooling is not an issue. I need to do a search through some of the old threads such as savings needed, houses, renting v buying, cars ... I am pretty sure Sydney is where we would end up do to the city lifestyle, job opportunities and weather.

My husband and I just joined the forum as Mryankeebrit and mrsyankeebrit. I am American married to a British man and we live here in the UK. We never planned settling here but came back due to my husband's mother being diagnosed with terminal cancer. She passed away about 18 months ago and after much soul searching have decided to leave but where to go?? My husband has his heart set on Australia and me coming from Texas it sounds pretty awesome. We have weighed between moving to the US and Australia and Australia is the winner. We came here looking for advice and information. He is an Enterprise Architect and I am a teacher (Year 2). We both qualify for a 189 and a 190 but it's possible for Mryankeebrit to get a 475. I know each has it's ups and downs. I wanted to say Hello! Hopefully, I will be treated gently as I am new to forums and new to the Aussie immigration procedure. Now, if you want to immigrate to the UK from the US I am the person to ask We are looking at Sydney as our best choice!
