Just realised on my EOI I put the Ielts test report form number as my centre number by accident. Have submitted a new EOI should I just wait for this or should I just put correct number on when do visa form? thanks xx

Yes loads of paperwork for skills assessment drove me mad!! suppose will see what results of that are and go from there. trying to keep on top of everything but definately gets overwhelming sometimes. Gosh i see you got ur results in a month for skills, God I pray I do as thinking gonna be about 8-10 wks. You have grants? Whats that?

Thanks Alan. I would use an agent without a doubt if I wasn't trying to scrape every penny together to apply asap (although be worth its weight in gold if god forbid I make a mistake!!) Is it similar documentation for eoi as skills assessment would you think or do you have to present a lot more? Thanks in advance

This is interesting Jon defo worth more than 2 cents I need to know all sides of the discussion as definately don't want to get any part wrong esp eoi or visa app. I have done the skills assessment myself and did you use an agent for the whole process and out of interest was a lot of your information/evidence needed for eoi similar to what you had to submit for skills assessment? Have had a very reasonable offer to complete remainder of application for us so was just wondering. Tia

Thanks for this, definately could do without the cost of the agent (even though wasn't too bad for remainder of process). Esp helpful wiv advice can ask on here if get stuck and not too complex

Ah wow u have already worked out there so you obviously liked it Friends who are normal ie non-dental?? haha. Where did you study? I know it sounds bad but I only mainly work with adults, so the thought of working with loads of kids mmm haha, I may pass and stick to the hyg lol... I was thinking Perth or Brisbane. Got friends all over in Sydney, Perth and Adelaide but just getting drawn to Perth. A friend of a friend is in Melbourne and says its amazing!! Always comes out as top city in the world doesn't it Got my ielts in 2 wks. Look outside and its p*ssing down, bring it on...

Thanks for this Cee. I will definately check if she is a notary public (whatever that is lol) and good idea to get a few done so have them if needed. I have tax returns that the tax office sent me re self employed not just bank statements, I was just going to stick some in for more evidence.. I have always done my own tax as my sil was an accountant pre baby and helped me do it. There's loads dentist jobs, what area are you thinking? I'm a therapist but can see it being a bit of a grey area (did all the restorations at work luckily as dentist only wanted cosmetic work) but can see if being different in Oz I think, so just going to go as hygienist, prob my best bet and safer option. Are u using an agent? A hyg I know is over there now and just waiting to sit practical, she passed her theory. All be worth it, I can't wait

Thanks Scouseman. I was going to ask a friend who's a solicitor is that OK? Also I am a self employed dental hygienist so have tax returns as well as bank statements and letter from the dental practice I work. Should I get all these certified? Many thanks

Hi all, I have gathered all my documentation to send to vetassess for skills assessment. To certify my documents I know it can be a solicitor but I can't find what they have to write to certify the document or is it just to be signed and stamped? Do I just photocopy my documents and then I presume stamped means a stamp from their law firm?? The documents that need certifying are just proof of identity, qualification award certificate and academic transcript. Is that all? Many thanks guys x

Hi all, Im applying for 189 skilled migration, just in process of getting skills verified by Vetassess. Ben wondering partner usually works (managerial or contractor for banks), but lately has been unofficial carer for ill family member. We did not claim any carer allowance or benefits and was just wondering if anyone will request info of what partner has been working as or is it just the person applying for the visa? many thanks xx

I searched for employer reference in general search tool and just looked through some for idea of what employer would need to do . I found there was a template I can email u if you want?

Thanks for the help. I am a dental hygienist and work for Bupa so have to go through vetassess to get my skills assessed. I have a transcript etc of my degree, contract of employment from Bupa and work history duties etc ie employment evidence. I know I have to sit an exam in Australia once my visa or EOI is accepted. Can a dentist certify my documents and what documents do you have to get certified? Many thanks x
