Hi Kurvyy, Thanks a lot for the information. Just to make things clearer , I have my masters from London,Uk. Does the recent graduate scheme apply only for Australian university students or can it be anyone with equivalent qualification? I do have sufficient points but no experience. hey mate, Need some help man.. My name is kiran.. I live in london but I am indian.. I am planning to apply for the 189 category. I am not sure if it is mandatory to have IT experience to be eligible coz I have my masters (MS) in advanced computer science from UK. I have 65 points (30 for age, 20 for IELTS, 15 for degree) .. I have just received an offer from an IT company for a job which means I do not have experience. so, Is it mandatory to have experience in the relavent occupation or is the relavent degree sufficient considering I have sufficient points? thanks fo any suggestions..cheers

@red hand, thanks for your quick response mate. according to what i understand, I just need to send my degree certificate for the skills assessment right? my degree is relavent to the occupation I am applying for.. I do have 60 points (30 points for age, 20 for IELTS, 15 for the education).. that should be enough?

Hello Everyone, I am a software engineer and I am planning to apply for australia immigration under 189 category. I would like to know if the education skills have to sent for assessment before lodging the EOI? and also is there any minimum period of work experience required to be eligible under this category? I have MY MS in advanced computer science from UK if that matters. Thanks a lot in advance for any suggestions.. Highly appreciated..cheers
