For our little Cat Dexter we used Woolworths insurance. As a Kitten he was a sicky cat. Nearly had to put him down after 5months. Touch and go at one stage but Woolworths were great.

Hi. We are leaving Australia next week as our 457 Visa got cancelled due to my partners office closing down. I've decided to go back to college and become a plumber. This is on the skilled visa list and we would want to move to Perth as I have family over here. I've tried speaking to several agencies but they want quite a bit of money just to chat. I wonder if anyone can help? What qualifications do you need to get over here? By the looks of it on the Government website it says 3yrs experience + Qualifications? we just don't know where to start..

Yeah Im going to give them a call on Monday but I doubt we will be able to change the flights, they booked them via the Flight Centre. I hope there company goes out of business completely. If I could afford to buy our own flights I would but we had to break the lease on our apartment, Phone contracts, etc Now the fun part begins with finding a place back home to live.

After a stressful two weeks they have finally paid for our flights, even though the company has an account with Emirates they have booked us on the cheapest flight possible, Its a company called "JetAirway". The 1st flight is via Qantas to Singapore, then on two JetAirway planes to Mumbai then London. Never thought Id ever be heading to Mumbai, Total traveling time of 40.5Hours. You cant even check in online with them as the 1st flight is a Qantas plane but the booking reference is a JetAirways number. Has anybody flown with JetAirways, Also Im bringing my TV back with me and randomly my cats scratch post, well its a shape of a oil barrel covered in carpet and with 2 holes cut in it, Thing is we bought it for $200 and its only 2-3 weeks so were bringing it back with us. Do you know how easy it is to get these stuff added to your luggage. I would call Jetairways but they don't work weekends.

All I know is that they sent an email to Immigration stating that the Visa has been cancelled. We don't want to leave but its basically impossible to get a job so quickly in Brisbane. Only way I got a job here was through a friend, Once recruitment company said due to be being English they will struggle to find me a job..lol...

Thank for all your replies, We wish we could stay but the job market in Brisbane seems pretty dead. We don't want to leave but living here on a 457 visa just seems such a risk. Reading horror stories like ours on the internet doesn't fill us with confidence. Our next step is to get back, Sort out our money and place to live and Ill study to come out here as an resident. Some good news at last, it seems as if we have won the war, Got an email over night stating they would only pay for us to leave on the 15th. Then 30mins ago we got an email stating they would be paying both flights on the 20th. Its been a nightmare 2 weeks but fingers crossed it gets booked tonight. Sounds like they got legal advice and they didn't have a leg to stand on. Ever since we arrived 9months ago they have been nothing but unprofessional. Quite funny really, The owner is trying to make everyone take all there holiday which is illegal. There was emails flying about the office with the HR, so she stepped in saying can we drop this holiday situation as the moral is low enough in the office without you pressuring people to take holiday. The owner come back saying we dont pay people based on moral. Just dont get how someone can be so nasty and so spiteful. We have a Skype call tonight and ill be there as witness. Hopefully the abuse stops.

We are heading to Immigration in the next few hours. We received an email saying she would be willing to move the flights to the 15th, but that still doesn't help. They have been a nightmare since day 1 when she 1st joint over 2years ago in London, There isn't really enough time in trying to transfer the sponsorship as I have found it very difficult to get work. As for transferring the visa we haven't even thought about it, what could we transfer it to? I used my holiday visa up in 2007 and my partner used hers while we were waiting for our sponsorship to come through? is there another visa we can stay here with?

We are worried we are being selfish but we love him to much, Im sure after a week or so he will forget about it. Before we got a cat we in Australia we made sure there was no quarantine. Its going to be emotional when Jetpets drive him off in the van

Its very pity, basically we put her nose out of joint when we found that they had to pay for my flight, its now a personal attack on my g.f stating that its not her fault we bought or a cat and rented a apartment. We also gave up our flat and cant get our tenants out for a few months so we are basically homeless when we return to the UK. but she is a heartless bi%ch(sorry kids). Ive got to the point where I just want to pay for my own flight but my g.f wont give up. My G.F has now asked for minutes of this conversation as her boss had a witness in the Skype call as well.(ganged up on her). They said my g.f owes them a lot for all what they have done for her(nothing). Basically we need it in writing blackmailing us into paying for my own flight but they are refusing as they know they will get in trouble. We are going to immigration tomorrow to get this sorted. it was only me doing research that I found out that they have to declare to the government they are making her redundant. it has been 2 weeks of hell, only 5 weeks to go...

Hello All, I accidently posted a pet post in the transport part of the forum, Basically we are flying our little man from Brisbane to London. He had his rabies shot last week. 21 days and he is ready to fly. We are using Jetpets. this is the most stressful part about flying back to the UK. He is 6months old. Im not usually a cat person but we got one as I work away lot on the mines and keeps my g.f company. Sadly we have to return to the uk and we cant leave him behind. he is an indoor cat and has been part of our adventure out here. Im sure he will be ok, we have been locking him in his cat carrier for an hour or so every evening, is there anything else you can do to prepare him for the flight?

Good Evening, My partner and I moved to Brisbane in August last year. She worked in the London office and got asked to take the role in Brisbane. We moved here on a business 457 visa and sadly when we returned from the UK from holiday my partner received a letter stating that the office will be shutting down and everyone has been made redundant. We spoke to the company who dealt with our visa and Australian immigration and by law they have to cover both our flights which she denied on email several times and it has got very nasty. Last week she finally admitted she had to pay for the flights. But her ego has been hurt and will only fly us back on the 6th May, Baring in mind the office shuts on the 3rd. This gives us no time to sort out our belongings, furniture, our pet cat we have to fly home. The earliest we can fly back is the 20th May to sort everything out. Just now we received a very nasty Skype call basically black mailing my g.f stating she will book the flights on the 6th and will force us on the plane. She isn't budging on the dates, and will now only let my partner fly back on the 20th only if I pay for my own flight. The employer phone call was quite disgusting how they spoke to her saying how they sponsored us as a favour, and that they created the job just so we could stay. I have many copies of horrible emails. there has been many tears and currently writing this message in anger. The boss is now trying to force my g.f to take her holiday which is remaining as she doesn't want to pay out more money out of her own pocket. This is against the law? Basically I need to know what we should do, surely you cant be made redundant then forced to leave 3 days later? Any help would be great as this is causing us a lot of stress and sleepless nights.
