  1. Oh ok I will look into that, I know the list has changed since we got here so will take another look!
  2. His employer have said they would support us getting pr, so will talk to them. For 189/190 visa he would need to be on the 'skills list' which we looked into when he got made redundant, he is not on the list. Looking at other threads it is possible to get pr through sponsorship without waiting the 2 year term.
  3. Hi, my husband is not on the skills list so as far as I am aware we cannot go for independent pr, but he is earning over 200k. So I think he can apply as a 'higher earner'. We actually now think his visa was transferred not re registered. I guess we will just have to try and drum more info from his hr dept! Thanks
  4. Hi Guys We got here in July but hubby then lost his job on a sponsored 457 visa. He just started his new job yesterday on a new sponsored 457 visa. Obviously its been a bit of a rollercoaster (especially with small kids) however without sounding completely crazy I was wondering how long to wait until we ask about pr and who we ask ? His visa was granted Friday so don't want to seem desperate but we love it here and would love to stay and settle. Would we go straight to his employer who have said they would support us getting pr ?, I'm just thinking as their agent has all the relevant certificates etc right now can we do it now ? Thanks Lisa
  5. prisons, hospitals, ppp, facilities management and any out sourcing.
  6. Yes Quinkla, (cool name!) that could be an option, hadn't thought of that!, in the end he would then not be beholden to twits !! :-)
  7. He would be looking for a Bid Director, Commercial Director or Project Director role. Thanks x
  8. Hi We have come over here on a sponsored 457 just in july and my husband has been made redundant today! My children have just settled and are into a routine and obviously we do not want to move back to the UK without making sure we have explored all areas of staying. He has a meeting with his companies recruitment consultant in the morning to see if there is another job within the company he could take and he has some contacts in Aus, but I was wondering if we should contact anyone at immigration to let them know the situation or if there is something we can do to extend the 90 day period to find another job. Any help greatly appreciated Thanks Lisa
