  1. Hi Blossom79 Yes, looks like they are working on holidays too. I think they are under lot of pressure to visas processed. I also think they may want to get some quick and easy ones out of the way so that their numbers look good. And for the ones which have crossed the service agreement, they cant do much because they have defaulted them anyway.... Cheers kkk666
  2. Hi Ramansanju The occupation I had applied for was 'Business Analyst'. And my employer is the Government...Also, I am a NZ citizen, so technically I can work in OZ without a PR......So all these might have been reasons to finish my case quickly..... Cheers kkk666
  3. Hi coolsurdian1 Since I had not gone through a MA, the approval for nomination went to the employer directly and the approval for the Application was sent to the additional person I had nominated. Funnily it did not actually come to me..... ...Anyway, I then went online and they have changed the status of my application to 'Finalised' and attached the 'Grant letter'!!! Cheers kkk666
  4. Just got my PR!!! My timeline is as follows Non DR application from Melbourne PSE Employer nomination submitted: 6 Dec 2012 Application submitted: 23 Dec 2012 Nomination approval : 3 April 2013 PR granted : 25 April 2013 That's on Anzac day !!!! Total time taken 4 months and 2 days!!!! So some movement from MEL after all.... I wish you all the very best and hope you all hear some good news soon....I must admit my case beats all odds and I wish the various PSEs start issuing out visas at in this timeline for all. I think it will happen soon. I got a lot from information and support from reading this blog. It is a good forum to air your views and problems. It makes you feel that you are not alone...... Cheers to all
  5. Hi Suzyn If you click on the little question mark next to 'In progress' a window pops up listing the following statuses ------------------------ Application received The application has been received and is awaiting lodgement. In Progress The application has been received and is awaiting assessment. Finalised The application has been lodged and assessed. ------------------------ My visa application has been 'In progress' from the time I had started submitting documents.....which must have been after I received the acknowledgement. So I would not read too much into these statuses. Just hope and pray it changes to 'FINALISED' !!!!!!! For everyones mental health I wish that happens soon!! Cheers kkk666
  6. Thanks Sneh for posting the timeline of your friend. Just shows how long I might have to wait.....I applied on 23 Dec2012 at Mel. My theory is once the pre July 2012 backlog is cleared, it would be all hand on deck for the post July applications. And then all of us would see some movement.....
  7. Hi SA5005 Your case sure gives me hope.... Hope that my visa too gets sent from Melbourne pse to Paramatta !!!! Else we hardly hear of anyone in this forum who have been granted 187 visa from Melbourne..... Cheers Kkk666
  8. Hi Sonic I think the Melbourne office has been doing a lot of nomination approvals. But reading some of the earlier entries in this blog, it looks like they don’t seem to be allocating a CO to process the applications after that. Some seem to have been contacted by the admin staff for documents pertaining to the application after the nomination approval. Would like to hear from those who have had visas granted recently from Melbourne....would be good to know..... Cheers kkk666
  9. Hi Lovepreet If I were you I would write to DIAC explaining that my case was way past the service standard and hence would like to know what kind of timelines apply in my case....Then they would atleast come back with some sort of time frame.... I find writing to them a lot better than talking to them..Not sure why. I dont like holding the line for half an hour! Cheers kkk666
  10. Hi hardy dhillon No one can really give you an answer to this. This is like Russian Roullette. You spin and you land...all depends on your luck!! I have seen people in these blogs have nomination approved and visa granted on the same day. And then there are people waiting for several months between the two for no appartent reason. My nomination was approved on 3 April from melbourne center and found out from DIAC that no CO has been allocated to my application yet. So there goes the endless wait.....All the best anyway and hope for the best! kkk666
  11. Hi Everyone I am new to this blog but have been watching this thread and feel the pain of all those posting their cases here.... I have applied for RSMS 187 Direct entry (NON DRC) to the Melbourne PSE and am from a low risk country. My timelines are as follows Employer Nomination: Dec 6 2012 Application submitted: Dec 23 2012 Employer Nomination approval: 3 April 2013 My question is - What are the timelines from nomination approval to application approval? I guess, there seems to be no fixed rule on how this works. But when one gets their nomination approved, does that mean that the application would also be processesd soon? Or are they not connected in any way? Would like to hear all your thoughts on this....
