1. In a similar boat. Will be moving in September to Sydney and go from being very excited to very nervous. Plan to follow your parents advise and treat it as a vacation and one hell of an experience worst case scenario. Home will always be there! How did you find the move in the end?
 2. Hello All, Just wondering if anyone can help me with which parts of the country have agricultural work at what times of the year? I know there are different types of farming and what not but am looking to do second year work around April - May 2014 and wondered if there were some areas of the country with more work on around that time than others. PLEASE HELP. Im bloody useless with this stuff!!!
 3. Hi, Not even over there yet but it depends on what you want i suppose. I spent christmas in Vietnam once and it was a wonderful experience but i really missed having friends and family around me. So if your used to family Christmas's then spend it with your friends. If your more than happy to have a bit of an adventure then do Thailand. It is beautiful and i would definitely suggest the Islands at some point in time. Though Ozzy xmas might be a nice way and time to get affiliated with the country.
 4. Hi. Sorry for stupidly late reply!!! I think the working holiday visa sounds like it would suit you then as you could get a role and then either go for sponsorship whilst your out there or try and sort something else out. Oddly i thought they would want IT people on the list. Hmm interesting. Hows it all coming together for you now?
 5.

Just FB'd request thought it might be easier on there than ehre

Hi. Sorry only just checked this.

It is scary isnt it. Not exactly a small move. Awesome that you have the permanent visa though. Yeah I would ideally like to do a flat share straight away as well as i dont want to hassle the mates already out there! Got another friend who is moving back to australia and looking to do syndey also so that might help!! i hope. Will check out the FB.

 7. Thanks for coming back to me. I didnt realise you had to be on the SOLS if you were offered sponsorship for an employer. i thought they could offer it to whomever they wanted. I dont hold out any hope of that happening anyway but interesting. Think i will stick to what i know and the WHV for a year and maybe two if im really enjoying it. Nothing wrong with a bit of farm working during the spring! Was really more looking to clarify that there was work available really. in current accounts indurstry or even bar work for a bit. Through research and conversations it is appearing so though so thats positive. Nothing ventured nothing gained!

 10. Hello All. Im looking to move to Australia, Sydney specifically, in a couple of months. Just sorting my passport then WHV im 29 this year so last chance to do it and currently nothing holding me back in England as job ends in June, kid and fella free and renting my home. I have heard that finding work and housing is tricky in Sydney and its kind of freaking me out a little about a move there. I have some friends over there so hopefully have some support but currently looking to make the move with around 6K and stay with them till i secure work. Got my UK references sorted to take with me, CV good to go. Currently work in accounts administration but willing to do any old thing (within the legal bounds and limits of course lol) I plan on doing the RSA as soon as i arrive. Can any advise on anything I have missed or what the market on both scores are like????? Really want to get off my ass and go but nerves seem to be getting the better of me at the moment! arghh. any help and advise welcome Anna
