  1. Yes. We got the latest forms: 40sp and 47sp. The questions about property is section H from form 40sp. Also, as our current address is in London,it says on question 10 PDF part A that we need to attach a statement how my partner will meet his sponsorship obligations. Is this a separate statement saying or just by signing part K of form? Thank you vey much!
  2. Sorry, cannot get PM to work!!! Quick question: on the sponsor form it has a section about property ( how many bedrooms, owned, rented, etc) I am assuming they're interested in a australia property and not UK right? How did you complete this section? Did your sponsor had a place in Oz when you applied? thank you (again)
  3. Thanks Snifter, do you know if any solicitor can certify and witness sta declarations ? I have a friend that is a solicitor, but he does not work for a private law firm. He works in-house for American Expresss. He is licensed as a solicitor, but will not be able to stampede documents, only sign and put his registration number. Just wondering if it is enough. Thank you.

  5. I am applying for a de facto visa soon. i was just wondering how many documents to show evidence of our relationship I need to submit? we have been together for 5 years, have plenty of joint accounts statements, council tax, bills, etc. i was planing to send 2 documents with my name on it, 2 with my partners name and 2 with both of our names on for each year we have been together. Does anyone know if this is too many or too few documents? thank you very much!
  6. H&M, one more question, sorry, I cannot find a way to PM here, hope it is fine to ask the question on the forum. My partner is Australian citizen (born in Australia), but we live in London. On the Sponsor document under Part H on Form 40SP (about your home), I am guessing this relates to an Australia home, showing that we will have a place to live, but as we are not in Australia yet, do we fill in the details about our London house or just leave it blank and add a note saying that we will be renting in Australia when we get there? thank you!
  7. Could you please confirm if I will need 4 statutory declarations? 2 from 2 Australian citizens to confirm we are in a de facto relationship 1 mine to confirm character 1 from my partner and I to detail our relationship are there templates that we need to complete or are they free format? If templates, where can I get them please? thank you!
  8. Thanks H & M. I called the Australia High Commision and they confirmed this too. I am applying for de facto visa. Thanks for your offer to PM you. I will do it for sure
  9. Hi there, my birth certificate is from Brazil and in Portuguese and I don't want to spend money to have it translate it. Can I just send certified copies of my British passport and UK Driving license as proof of ID? on the booklet it says: "You must provide certified copies of the following:• birth certificate showing both parents’ names; OR one of following: Baptism certificate, passport, family book showing both parents’ names, identity document issued by the government, document issued by a court that verifies your identity. If none of these are available, other acceptable evidence of your identity must be provided; • evidence of any name changes (for example, deed poll, marriage certificates or divorce certificates); • your current passport or travel document, and all your previous passports or travel documents; and • if you have served in the armed forces of any country, certified copies of your military service record or discharge papers. thanks a lot!
  10. Thank you. I Am referring to the person who can write a statutory declaration saying that they know us and our relationship. In our case we are thinking about asking 2 friends that know us and are a GP and Dentist. Does it mean that we don't need to have them certified as they are already professionals allowed to witness a declaration? Or better to ask other friends to write the declaration and the GP and Dentist to witness it?
  11. Hi there, I live in London and will be applying for my 100 soon. I have all the joint account details, bills, marriage certificate, etc.. just one question: do the letters of reference need to be from Australian citizens or can it be from British professionals too? We don't know any Australian person that has a profession that is on the authorised list... Thank you very much!
