Same case here. I applied on 26-June-2013. And no CO assigned yet, when I spoke to a representative today, she said there is no CO assigned yet. It's been a month since I lodged my documents. Uploaded all documents. Hopefully there is some news in this week!

I guess, after receiving the grant you need to report to that state within 6 months of time.

You need to select any of the major places in WA. Just for the application form, no need to worry much. You can select Ellenbrook and give two line reasons why you chose that place. You need to chose 190 at the end of the application and proceed.

Hope the comment/name given for the upload won't be of an issue. Also please tell me how to name the company documents? I mean, the expats who apply for jobs are well experienced having worked with many companies, foreign countries, in various environments, etc and came to a stage where some may get rejected or not considered for not having local experience? How is the job market for non mining industry in Perth? For Engineers, IT sector?

Hi guys, I have some doubts and queries regarding interview process in Australia. How are the interviews taken? How do they select candidates? How many rounds do they conduct (like in India, Technical, Manager and finally HR round). What do they see in a candidate? If the experience is not matching 100% to the job category, do they select us if we are willing to work with passion and able to learn quickly and contribute to the company? Please update! Usually in how many days a case officer will be assigned? Because I lodged my application on 10th June and the CO was assigned on 12th June itself.

Great topic! I started my process way back in October-2012 with initial verification from the process consultant . First with Skills Assessment - I submitted the documents to TRA on November-6th, Got my result on January-23rd. I took a month to prepare for IELTS test and attended on March-9th and scored L-6.5, R-6, W-7, S-7, the result came on March-22nd. Then I was suppose to apply for Western Australia state sponsorship, but couldn't as I was not eligible with the required minimum 60 points. So had to wait till I complete my 8 years experience and gain the required points and apply. Hence I lodged my application on June-10th. Skilled Migration WA Case Officer is assigned for my application!. Now fingers crossed for the results.

Hello all, I was so excited to lodge my application on last Thursday as I was eligible with 60 points. I was supposed to lodge for Western Australia state sponsorship. I have 8 years of total experience. But the software app while lodging EOI in immi.au website did not consider 8 years experience because of the days gap of reliving and joining the companies. Now again I have to wait for 23 more days for eligibility. I hope the rules do not change in these 23 days. Anyone faced this issue?

Hi, What is your occupation and under which skill set does it come? Don't worry about it. Check the 6 states official website for Occupation List to see if your skill is available or not. Or wait till July, the new list for the year 2013-2014 will be updated and you can then check and apply! Don't lose hope.
