Hi Scott, if you want to contact me when you get to Sydney my phone number is 045 938 5840. And of course I understand if you're too busy or headed elsewhere <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

 2. I'm working night shift at an HR call center in Chatswood. I'll PM you my contact info.
 3. @Mary - no, I don't have an RSA. Not super eager to get one since I don't know how much longer I'll be staying in this state. @Scott - from what I hear the RSA (which allows you to work with alcohol - something you usually need for both bartending and waiter/banquet work) is pretty easy to get, but you have to pay about $160 and take a short class. And you have to do the same separately for whichever state your in - one RSA won't carry over to a different state.
 4. Hello All, I'm new to the forum, but I've been here in Sydney (my first stop in Australia) since 5 Feb. I'm thinking about moving on since I still haven't found any work (have had sucessful interviews with 2 office temp agencies, but they haven't found me anything yet), and between applying online and on foot, it just seems like there might not be many to be had at the moment. I've heard that work is supposedly easy to get in Alice Springs. I don't drink (or party, really) so I wouldn't mind sitting anywhere, even "the middle of no where" for several months so I can save up some cash to be able to do more in Aus. And if I were only going to be able to do 2 things here, it would be the great barrier reef and Uluru anyway. But of course I'd like to know if the rumors are true before I go. Does anyone know how easy it is to get work in Alice Springs versus other places? Office work would be great but I'd be more than happy to do any kind of hospitality or restaurant/cafe work, retail, call centers, child care, damn near anything! Many thanks
 5. Hey Scott - leaving on tax day, eh? I'm an American too, been here in Sydney since the beginning of Feb. Not sure, unfortunately, how much longer I'm going to be able to stay here since I'm having a hard time finding any work. But if by chance I manage to get a short term job in the next couple of weeks, I'll be around on the 15th of April.
