Hi Scott, if you want to contact me when you get to Sydney my phone number is 045 938 5840. And of course I understand if you're too busy or headed elsewhere <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

2. Perfect, exactly the kinda thing I was looking for
3. Quick background. 30 year old male, still able to get after it party wise, can handle a bit dirty and loud. - Booking by location/price and then bonus things like free breakfast, internet and such. - How easy is it to obtain a work for stay deal?? Would love to hear about hostel you all have stayed at that were great, and ones to avoid. In Sydney, Byron Bay, Surfers, Gold Coast, Fraser Island, Whitsundays, and Cairns. Just trying to compile a list while I have the free time at home. Any and all experiences you feel like sharing would be welcome. Thank you all
4. If you go to http://www.hostelz.com, it will compare the prices on all the sites. Could save you a few $$ per person, per night.
5. Landing in Sydney April 15th. Going to get situated there and then head north along the coast.
6. Jax- I arrive in Sydney on the 15th of April, what place did you end up going with? Im still trying to figure that out.
7. Arriving on tax day Already have those taken care of!! My general plan was to stay for about a week and then start heading north, hitting the stops along the way. Then find a city to settle in and work for a bit, but its all subject to change. How difficult is it to get the certification to work in bars? I have bar tending experience and would love to take up that kind of job.
8. Morning- Can anyone clue me in on the steps to become SCUBA certified? I have a buddy in the states that says it would be smarter and more fun to get certified in Oz, rather than here in Seattle. Just wondering the steps necessary to do it over there and the costs involved. Thanks all.
9. I land in Sydney is April and it might not be the right ave for my trip, but I don't want to close any avenues of seeing the country. Send me a direct message and we can chat about all your stuff and maybe your experiences too if you have the time.
10. That sounds about perfect. Not sure about Tucson though. My father lives there and if he wasn't there not sure I would ever visit that city. Rest of the trip sounds perfect. 2-3 nights in Vegas, no more, no less!!!!
11. Glad to hear about the basketball, great game you can play for the rest of your life. Plus is the only one I know anything about. I am from/reside in Seattle. What is on tap for your month in the USA?? Seattle is an amazing city and can be even better if you are able to miss the rain......fat chance
12. Completely agree, however part of the reason for the trip is to see things from others perspective, so maybe a few of them can teach me a thing or two. In Europe I got slapped for telling a girl I hated her playlist, so I have learned to keep it shut! That is great about the work, save your body, no construction! How is Perth, everyone I have talked to raves about it. Its the true Aussie experience. Worth a cross country trip?
13. Same as my questions before, trying to figure out what to expect. I have heard the job market is both bull and bear, so I'll just wait to see for my own eyes. The good thing I have going for me is I am not an idiot and for the most part can figure out when I am getting taken advantage off. One of the benefits of doing this at 30. Quick side question, you been to the Costco down there? If so, what do you think. I work at the world HQ, in fact am "working" right now.
