  1. Well.....! I was always a fighter ,never backed out.........I do consider myself to be so lucky to be alive after all the spats we had , almost killed by a train , a buss inches from my head , our gang attacked in an ally way in china town by machete wielding chiefs just because we refused to pay up front for a cab ,.........I even got attacked jumping off a buss , I use to wear make up , when I was a proper punk , this guy /twice the age of me didn't like it (he had been blown out ) and tried to take it out on moi .................hence why im so protective of my youth and my children now .......I always had manors and grew up to be polite and a good lad........I now look like butter wouldn't melt in my mouth ..........

If you remember roight... I did escort you and mrs toniman through the wild jungle of joondalup wading through thousands of hooligans... well we had our big burly bouncer escort Kieran hahahh.... ANd it seems you are still alive and found your way all the way down to the wooly southern burbs hehehh seeya Sunday mate

  2. Lovely sunny day, millions of kids, legendary manc performance by roses, nice company with mr and mrs tonyman topped up a great day out. Hope me and my mate were bear-able for you. Many thanks again and hope to meet up again. btw you can keep the 'special cap' which I didnt see you put on!

  3. To address the OPs question I think we need to look at 'other' factors affecting liver condition, we cant just all pin it down to alcohol because we consume other foods and drinks which may harm (saturated fats, processed food, caffeine, preservatives) or heal (fiber, vitamins, veges, antioxidants, phytonutrients) the liver. Then theres our genes which we cannot control...

But the rule of thumb is if you put more good stuff into your body and moderate/ reduce the harmful content then you are less 'at risk' than the inverse situation.

I used to enjoy drinking quite regularly, without being in excess at a time I probably should have had a better diet and exercised more. Id enjoy drinks when out or in and apart from the odd time when I have overdone it and have felt not the best of. But I never used to listen to the body. When youre young and before kids you forget your health and think it can do more than it can. Then it all changes after kids. You want to be there for them and see them grow up.

I started listening to the body, exercised more and changed my diet. I started pouring in good foods and cut down on the bad. I started to swim more regularly and when one exercises a lot I think the tendency to drink is less. Plus your BMR increases a great deal and when you do drink the alcohol is metabolised much quicker. End result is I feel a million times better since and the body and the brain feels a lot healthier.

  4. Colin , maybe next yr when you get to Perth ....? Ive told Gee13 he can have the ticket , he sounds like a real nice chap , well into his music too BUT ...........he is a Man U fan , an Aussie too not a Manc ......! oh well at least he and mrs tonyman will get on with her being a glory hunter too

HAHA Shhhh... despite the revealed rivalry theres some common ground

Much respect to tonyman for the generosity, look forward to more banter at the gig!

  5. Hi it's Paula here, rockingham is full of bogan Australians, a horrendous shopping centre where your find many overweight people in slinglets and bare foot. It's no city, in fact when was the last time a shopping center made an area a city. North of river has nicer suburbs generally, better beaches , Hilary's and mindarie . There's a reason why it's cheaper in the south to buy and rent, it works the same as the UK. Nicer area higher prices.... Fact

LOL Those now 'Bogan' Aussies are 'mostly' actually sons and daughters (direct descendants) of their UK parents... after mass 'blue collar' UK migration to that area circa 90s

  6. Thats about 45-50K after tax (depending on your super contribution) and is more than liveable if you dont have an average mortgage and kids! With that you are looking at just over 4K per month and if you are good at budgeting and dont eat and drink out much (can be costly in Melbourne) you should be more than comfortable. Melbourne is good for public transport with the trams so youre lucky if youre not stuck with having to use a lot of your car etc

  7. As a former HR officer where I had to do the hirings and firings I totally empathise with you. To answer your question bluntly this practice does happen, not neccesarily by intent and I dont think its restricted just to Australia.

Basically employment terms dont begin until a contract is signed. Even then its not permanent until the employer has it in writing. And yes you are right in treating this as a learning process, that you need to really spread your eggs in every available basket because its a real dog eat dog world of securing employment here regardless of which state you are in. Dont take this as a negative, its just that someone more qualified perhaps got the job ahead of your husband. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. Things happen for a reason, theres probably a better and more transparent employer round the corner willing to take on your husband. Best of luck.

  8. Hey MRTonyman Im in Perth as well and would love to take up your offer, I missed the Stone Roses here in 1995, and when I went to London in 91 they were not playing any shows! Been a huge fan since 89 and it would be great to go with a dedicated fellow fan who sounds genuine and indeed very generous. Perhaps you could consider me, Ive sent a friend request. Not sure how to pm but imagine can do so after you accept my request. Hopefully we can meet up and enjoy the gig in each others company! Cheers
