Hi inuk90 Just wanted to let you know that we haven't heard anything since 15/02/13 either!!! My husband has been in Melbourne since August 2012, our son and I are just waiting on the visa to be granted so we can head over! It's so frustrating!! Discovered that my husbands CO has gone on holiday and nobody was able to tell my husband who was dealing with his application while CO is away. After many phone calls to DIAC, he finally got a name and direct line so he's gonna ring first thing. Where have you lodged your application? Hopefully you will hear some news soon

Hi new, not sure of how long you will be waiting for them to finalize, but good luck and I hope you're not waiting long :biggrin: When did you lodge the application? We lodged ours on 5th February and at the processing further stage since 15th February!

Time difference is a killer! Melbourne for us, how about you?

Hi Tazza my husband has rang them twice now and they have told him both times that it's being processed and to be patient. JR, I am obsessed with the portal too, check it twice a day too!! we definitely don't have a separate sheet, as far as we're concerned we have provided them with everything they need. Hope you don't have to wait too much longer, good luck

Hi Jessie! Are you still in Australia? How do you like it after 3 years? Great to hear your story and it's great knowing others have been through it and there's light at the end of the tunnel! Can you remember how long it took for the nomination to be granted? I'm guessing that once the nomination is granted it will show up on the online status thingy?

So hard not to think about it :twitcy: Calm and not stressed about it most of the time and then BOOM! Once in a while it just gets too much. It's harder (for me anyway) now I know the end is in reach. Thanks for your advice, great help and reassuring too

Thanks for your reply jasonorange wow, it was super quick in the end, only 5 days, that's great congrats! Makes sense about them focusing on the primary applicant only. Did you have to do a medical? There has been no mention of one with my husbands application, yet. Fingers crossed we get a decision soon, I can't take all this waiting and guessing anymore :confused:

Hi there, I'm new to this, this is my first time posting. My story is this..... My husband went to an expo and got offered a job off the back of the expo with a promise of sponsorship. We decided that he should at least go and see what he thought of Melbourne (where the job is) and what he thought of the job itself. He went over in August 2012. In November 2012 the company started to get to work on lodging a 457 visa for him. We were in limbo for a while, weren't being told much about where the application was at. Weeks went by and we eventually discovered that the lady working in his company who was responsible for his application worked part time and was taking her time lodging it. It was finally lodged on 5th February. We both constantly check the status online. This is what is says to date.
