  1. Hi i emailed you about jobs last week can you tell me if you've received it? thanks.
  2. Would you accept theatre technician applications? (Operating department practitioners from the uk)
  3. oh my gosh that photo!!!!!!!!!!
  4. YOU HAVE ALL SCARED THE LIFE OUT OF ME!!! Im afraid to google what these red backs & huntmens look like in fear of never sleeping again! if they bite how dangerous is it? I imagine never opening my linen cupboard or putting washing on the line! I think I may have to look into this hypnosis, hopefully just to get the courage to be able to deal with one if it was looking at me, otherwise ill be on the first plane home!
  5. Hi everyone, id like some info from anyone with knowledge of the spider life in and around perth? we are hoping to make the move but I do have a phobia of spiders a quite bad one actually! im thinking of getting hypnosis before we go. but what I'd be interested to know is are they in & around the house etc or is there anything I need to look out for? How often do you tend to see them? i don't want to pass this phobia onto my kids.
  6. Thank you for the replies, I've been qualified for 4 years so that's not the problem but my contracted hours are 19 hours per week so I guess ill have to find a way to increase this without telling my boss the reason. If I increase to 20 hours or more do I need to do it for a year before I can apply for pr?
  7. My husband has a job offer on a 457 in central perth hospital which is worrying me as we just couldn't afford any close surrounding areas to live in so he would be travelling a lot which is what we are trying to get away from in the uk. This is why we are considering holding out for PR as from my limited experience the 457 doesn't seem as secure and with going with kids that is scary, however on the other hand 457 means less visa costs & we could enjoy the adventure & if it all fell to pieces we wouldn't have lost so much money. My husband would leave to go in the morning I think I'm more a person who needs every question answered beforehand. Id love a few hours with someone to ask them every single question!
  8. When I looked at moving last year an agent told me I needed to be working either 20 or 30 hours per week (can't recall which) in the UK as a nurse for 12 months before I would be eligible to apply for PR visa but I now can't see this info anywhere, is this still the case???

  10. thank you Chris. we are not looking for a flashy life I don't want a house with a pool right next to the beach. our main reason for the move is more family time so our priority is hubby being a short drive to work & having a better work life balance. When I've had a quick look at properties I find it hard to see how anyone affords to live in perth at all which is a big worry for me.
  11. Do you mind me asking what area you are moving to in perth??
  12. Hi everyone, I'm looking some info on realistic cost of living in perth. My husband & son (with another on the way) are looking to immigrate next year. My husband is a theatre technician & I am a nurse but I would be looking to settle the kids before getting work. My husband seems to be able to get work quite easily earning approx 65,000 dollars. We would have the sale of our house hopefully to eventually buy a house but would rent initially. So my question is would we be able to live on my husbands salary comfortably and how much would we be looking to pay to rent a house & then to buy? is the cost of living the same as the UK or a lot higher?
