Hi Jen We are moving over at the end of August but are basing ourselves in Sydney rather than Perth – we managed to find a nice studio rental for a month (with a view to extend this with even further reduced rates) through Air BnB. Of course the rental is a lot more expensive than what we pay here in the UK but we were expecting that so weren’t too shocked. Through my research, Air BnB was cheaper than Stayz (for Sydney anyways). Hope that helps! Oh, forgot to mention that when we booked, we enquired beforehand to ask if they could reduce the rates further for a longer let - most said that it was already built into the price but one or two offered an even further reduced price. It doesn't hurt to ask!

Hi all Does anyone know of any cheap short-term rental sites for Sydney (about 4 weeks or so)? We need somewhere to stay when we land and to my knowledge Sydney doesn't have something like 'Brisbane Bound' which offers cheap short-term accommodation for people who are just finding their feet. We have checked Airbnb and Holiday Lettings and the prices are eye-wateringly expensive (mostly because they are in the middle of the CBD or Bondi). We are not bothered about being central, in fact we would prefer the suburbs. Thanks! Meghan
