  1. Good luck, enjoy and safe journey...oh and a wll deserved pat on the back to the hubby when you all arrive xx
  2. Good luck with the move hope everything goes to plan...I'm sure you probably haven't forgotten anything that is too important andeven if you have forgotten anything, i'm sure it wont be a problem to sort it out. I guess everyone must feel that way to some extent...I know I do, even when we are about to board the flight..... and thats just for a 2 week holiday in Lanzarote , so I'm sure you must feel that times 10 when you are actually getting a one way flight to make the move, but nothing that can't be resolved, so just sit back and as you already mentioned, enjoy this fine British sprintime and enjoy every bit of your journey to another life :-)
  3. What an amazing, touching, gracious and very grounding story you have told...as many have written, you give a true account of what I would assume to have being very dark times as a couple, yet seem to have great optimism and thankfully have two beautiful children and a wonderful wife with great spirit and determination of which I admire, I again would assume you have some very beautiful times ahead. Thankyou for sharing and my goodness how I would love to give your beautiful daughters cheeks a very gentle pinch :-) x
  4. As a bit of a newbie and without having to check the map (as I can be very lazy at times ), could you write which part of OZ you are reffering to when writing your list, apologies if I have missed this. Thanks
  5. Really appreciate that info lebourvellec, thanks I hadn't realised Welfare Worker was on the WA sol list and did think I would have to go down the sponsor route whichever job choice I went down, however that does make a difference...obviously my reading, reading and reading up hasn't beenquite good enough...which makes me think an agent would be the best option, I guess they do tend to know what they are doing as opposed to myself who obviously doesn't...thanks again...
  6. Hi Natasha and Gary, sorry I'm unable to offer any advice, as I am a newbie myself, but found some very knowledgable people on here and sure someone will be able to offer you guys some info' or advice. Hope you and your family are going to be very happy in your new life, good luck. Angie
  7. Hi R1ggers & Chrisblack...thanks to you both for words of encouragement, I am definitely finding this site very useful already. Well done Chris for your progress, seems to be going very well so far and doing it yourself..wohoo :-) I am currently juggling whether to opt for agency or not, I am reading and reading and still a little unsure, I have made contact with an agent who are currently looking at my best option as I am a Drug Intervention Worker, and been advised to go down the drug counsellor route, then others have advised I go down the welfare worker route!!! of which I am unsure as both with different assessment companies, therefore I don't want to pay one to assess me only to find out NO and have to pay the other to assess (VETASSESS or AKWA)...so awaiting a reply as which to go for and then I can hopefully get on with the assessment and start the ball rolling.....here's hoping , thanks again Angie x
  8. Hi Gill, definitely up for offering and accepting any advice and info' that may help. It does seem daunting but as some of the other post say, take it one day at a time...despite my mind running in circles (and we are at the beginning stages, god knows how fast it will spin as we move further along :-) athough I feel a weight lifted knowing we have finally made the decision to go for it, so very excited about it all too xx
  9. Hi Mad Cow (b.w loving the name :-) Still not 100% of which area, we have a few in mind, but it depends on employment more than anything, still awaiting feedback and info regarding that, so all very much in the early stages....Watch this space I guess. Thanks for the welcome.
  10. Hi Commander, thanks for the reply and good luck for the IELTS next month, fingers crossed and keep us updated and tayloal fingers crossed for your skills assessment...I have a feeling I am going to have my fingers crossed for quite a long time to come, so might as well start now  Well lets hope to continue the journey with lots of positive outcomes for us all...(think I may have a drink to that..cheers guys )
  11. Yes, I would have to agree with the daunting part, and agree, break off into bitesize pieces, one step at a time. I think what concerns me the most is getting so far to then to be refused, would be heartbreaking....but I do tend to look at the 'glass half full', so will continue throught the minefields and as you say, hope it will definitely be worth it at the end...here's hoping. Good luck with the rest of your quest and look forward to your updates, Thanks Again :-)
  12. Hi, many thanks for that, I will definitely join in the banter and currently just viewing various threads...all very interesting and some very funny...I think!! :-)
  13. Hi everyone, I just wanted to say hi to you all as a newbie, I am currently right at the beginning of the whole process of wanting to make the move for my family and I, to live in Australia. I have no idea if we will even make the long journey of paperwork, visa's medicals etc etc., into a reality, but we hope so and we are now in the process of starting the 'ball rolling'. I have researched and read and read and read and dreamed for many years :-0 so hopefully, we will find out even more fascinating info on this site and hope to share some of our stories and ask for advice or info' along the way :-) Thanks Angela
