  1. Hi Lucy, I've read some of your posts and your blog. You seemed to have the right attitude and have made the most of the move. Certainly made me feel more positive about making the move. We are very early in the process. My Fiancee seems set on North of the river, which suburb have you settled in? I want to be able to offer her alternatives and show her that we should look at all possibilities. Thank you for your time. Stuart

Thanks for the quick responses. I don't think there are any major complications Rupert. We are in our late 20s and early 30s and we appear to have enough points, we are taking the IELTS to bump up our points if anything. We are now putting plans in motion, so we can save the money we will require.

    Visa

Hi everyone, Just wanted to introduce myself and pick a few of your brains. Me and my Fiancee are very early in the process. We went to the Down under live event yesterday in Birmingham and went into it with our eyes wide open. We are aware that they have to make their money etc and are going to oversell their service. Can anyone tell me how much they paid for an agent or has anyone gone through process without an agent. The guy yesterday was asking for £1850, is this about right as it seems very expensive considering the cost of a Visa beint £2000. Can anyone give us any advice? We will be applying for a skilled migrant visa - 189 Visa. I am a Teacher whi has now gone into Tutor/Vocational assessing. My Fiancee is a solicitor for the local government, so we are currently looking into skilled assessment process as well as looking into IELTS tests. Hope everyone is making good progress, regardless of which stage your at.
