  1. Got family nor and they say its newer than SOR,but really not sure where to head, the nor does seem to be more appealing to me and my family as long as I can find enough work,I've looked on various job sites and there is welder/boilermaker jobs nor but does appear to be more SOR,but not sure if they are heavily built up areas,we wouldn't be keen on that, cheers bcoa
  2. Mainly stick and mig, really but mostly fabricating to drawings at present

  4. Thanks very much tonylad that's very helpful, and appreciate the offer of numbers, what in your opinion can a welder 1st class expect to earn hourly? Cheers bcoa
  5. Cheers for help all! The reason were focusing north of river is we have family which have been there for 10 years, and they prefer the newer suburbs, but as long as I can find enough work (welder/boilermaker)without too much commuting we would be willing to look at all areas in the north, does anybody have any knowledge of the industrial areas for my trade and potential job opportunities,I've researched quite a bit but can't beat a bit of local help ,thanks bcoa
  6. hi all, were in the visa stage of emigrating to perth and are seeking some advice regarding areas suitable for me and my family,im 33 wife 31 and two girls 7 and 5.Im a welder (1st class) and wife is a teaching assistant, ideally we would prefer north of the river as its newer and we arent keen on the city so ideally looking for a more quiter area but not too quiet as we need to find new friends and social network. We have been looking at Wanneroo a bit as the house prices seem average and quite good transport links and schools, but if anyone would be kind enough to help us pinpoint our search to find our new area to live i would appreciate any help, thanks bcoa
