Do you need any Riggers for your company? i Currently reside in the uk and work offshore in the oil and gas sector, I am looking to make the move over full time with my wife and 2 children, the in laws have been in australia for 8 years so im trying to get the family together again, Any help on the job front would be appreciated. Hi and good morning to all!!! I am looking for some kind hearted people with advice, i am trying to gain information for myself to apply for rigging jobs with a 457 business visa, I currently work in the uk in the oil and gas sector as a rigger/Deck crew, with 5 years expierence i have all uk opito relevent certs, ive noticed on job search sites that there is plenty of work in this sector but a rigger is not on the migration skilled list. My wife is currently studying ocupational therapy and will be qualified in may of this year, she will also have to apply for a 457 business visa as she does not have 2 years work expierence in this field. I am on the understanding that employment would have to be offered?. My wife has parents living in the glass house mountains area and im trying all i can to allow the family to be reunited. So I would be so grateful if any members has any names of company's or organisations to allow me to gain employment and a visa. Thanks & Regards Dennis

Happy new year to all,:smile: Im am looking for kind people for advice and direction! Myself, Wife and two children aged 13 & 8 are looking to move to oz this year. I currently work in oil and gas industry offshore in the uk as a rigger/deckrew my wife has until may 2014 until she completes her degree in occupational therapy. My understanding is my job is not on the skills list but hers is. However i understand she will need a job offer on a 457 business visa? before we could apply. I would like to apply for jobs as a rigger as there seems to be lots of vacancies but im unsure how to apply and gain sponsorship. My wife's parents retired to oz queensland 8 years ago on a retirment visa which does not allow sponsorship. Could anybody advise the steps to take and any contact names/companies that we could contact to apply. Thanks Again Dennis

Hi , everyone new to this site, looking for advice from anyone kind enough to give it. Were do i start had an assessment about a month ago and came back my skills were not on the list, I currently work offshore as deck crew ,banksman slinger, and trainee rigger. My wife is doing a degree as an occupational therapist and has one year to go. She also has her parents retired living in glasshouse mountains in Queensland. Our recommendations were to try for a business class visa once my wife has gained her degree. I was wondering if it would be possible for me to gain employer sponsorship or if there was jobs i could apply for in the offshore/mining industry. I would be willing to take a job before she qualified. Any help and advice would be gratefully received. Thanks I really dont have a clue!!!
