  1. Thanks Move2 I'll be direct entry so I'll need the RCB approval 1st.
  2. So my Irish docs can be certified in Australia?? That would be great.
  3. I looked through a lot of threads but cannot find the answer. My question is. Do my Irish documents like my birth cert, police clearance and qualification docs have to be certified in Ireland? The problem is I got my brother to post them out to me thinking I could certify them here. Could I colour scan them and get him to print it off, get them certified and then post it back to me? I'm so confused what docs need to be certified and who can certify them?
  4. Hey thanks again. Just got a email from my agent, she says that we can actually lodge the visa as soon as the RCB is lodged if we want to(If time is running out) but if the RCB is refused I lose my $3060 visa fee..is this true? Also will there be a charge for adding a defacto come the 1st of July?
  5. Cheers folks. Hopefully my employer and agent will start the application this week, My WHV expires in mid August so I believe the RCB needs to be approved before my nomination and application can be lodged, the job also has to advertised for at least 2 weeks before the RCB can be even lodged is this true?
  6. Hey anyone know how long the RCB approval is taking in Perth at the moment? And are some RCB's granted quicker than other or is it 1st come 1st served?
  7. My company have sponsored a few employees on 457 visa, however I'm currently getting sponsored with them on a 187 RSMS visa. They have said that their agent is charging extras for doing the RCB approval part as it is very detailed..? Just how much detail is required? The company is in Perth and is 5 years old. Thank you:biggrin:
  8. Thanks peeps that really helps. I think what i'll do now is check what the RCB in WA require in regards to the advertising of the role. If for instance the company placed a add in the West Australian paper on Saturday and on Gumtee today, could they start my sponsoring process straight away and just keep running the add for 1 month.. Just checked the internet and got this info from wa.gov.au 2. We must be satisfied that the position cannot be filled by an Australian citizen or an Australian permanent resident who is living in the same local area where the nominated position exists. Provided documentation should include: evidence that the position has been advertised within three months directly preceding the application for assessment, by the RCB. Evidence may include an invoice, a scanned copy of the advertisement, or other relevant supporting documentation. Advertising requirements: • one print advertisement in a newspaper with a distribution across the region in which the position will be located. Print advertisements for positions located in Perth metropolitan area and Fly-In-Fly-Out or Drive-In-Drive- Out positions must be advertised in The West Australian or The Sunday Times. Placement of advertisements in newspapers must be appropriate for the advertised position. or • one online advertisement over a minimum 2 week period on a jobs site (such as Seek, CareerOne). and A signed declaration stating that the nominator has made a genuine attempt to fill the position with an Australian citizen or permanent resident and has been unable to find a suitable candidate.
  9. Also as my 2nd WHV expires in mid August would I need a Bridging visa or is that automatically applied for when the 187/186 app goes though?
  10. Hey, thanks for the advice. We never recieved anything from them apart from a letter and a form to fillin if we wanted it for 6 or 12 months. We ticked the box for 6 months and hand delievered it to their offices. We just got a call from the PM in charge of our house saying the owner of the house was concerned that plants were dying around the house. We checked old photos we took of the house/garden when we moved in and we only noticed 3 grass plants that have died out of about 30 in total. This is the only complaint we ever had as the house very clean etc. We're just confused why they are not giving us a lease for 6 months, unless the owner is planning on selling it maybe?
  11. We've been renting a house in Perth for a year now, our lease ended on the 10th of February. We got word 3 months ago that the property had been taken over by a new real estate company and everything was going great. We got a letter in December from them asking us if we wanted to renew the lease for 6 or 12 months and we handed it back into their office stating we wanted it for 6 months. The new company done a rent inspection on the 5th of February, however the person who done it was only a temp employee. Then yesterday we got a call from our new property manager who had the house owner beside her in the office and we were told that she was concerened that a few plants out the back had died and she wanted more photos, even though the temp property manager took photos on the 5th of Feb. We rang the estate agent this morning and asked what is happening as we would like to know were we stand and if we should start looking for another house. She told us that we were being put on a 3 week notice period, were they have to give us 3 weeks notice to vacate and visa versa. Also they are doing another rent inspection next week. (House and the outside areas are always spotless as the missus is a clean freak) I would like to know if this whole thing is normal in WA and has anyone else any knowledge of renting in WA.
  12. I bumped into my old boss today at a petrol station and we got chatting and he said you have to call back to the office and that he wants to run a few thing by me. I worked for them for 6 months on my 1st WHV as a concreter and they wanted to sponsor me but were unable to sponsor me, they knew I had Estimating experience but had no need for me in the office. They have now won a few contracts and are expanding and need a Estimator for their offices in Perth. He informed me they have since sponsored a few workers on 457 visa and he offered me the same visa, but I told him that I could also get either a ENS 186 or a RSMS 187 visa which are PR and that I would rather go this route rather than a 457 visa. He told me that he'll do a bit of research into it and that I should do the same. Also I would be willing to pay the $3060 for the 187 visa. My questions are::err: 1. Would they have to advertise a Estimator position available within their company? 2. They want me to start working asap on a casual basis, but it wouldn't be doing estimating yet just helping them set up their new yard etc (labouring) how would this affect the application (2 year Estimating employment contract required for 186 and 187 visa. 3. Would they have to pay me weekly or could they just pay me for the hours I work. (Would I need a set salary stated in the contract) 4. I'm very confused if the 187 visa requires a positive skill assessment ( From my readings I think not as long as the employer is happy with my refrences from my previous employment? These are just a few thing running thru my head at the mo. I'm delighted I bumped into him as I was looking into a 189/190 visa but I feel a 187 would suit me better as I would have a 2 year employment contract too. Looking forward to your replies:biggrin:
  13. Errr..I think you need a good shake up to be honest, but each to their own. Being Irish myself I think you should just go out to a pub to watch the football maybe and meet a few like minded people.
  14. Hi just wondering what is companies house and would Ireland have a equalivant? But yeah my dad would have no problem in signing a stat dec in front of a lawyer, but would a justice of the peace do like a memeber of the police etc? Yeah im ringing vetassess in the morning and ill ring immi aswell. I dont want to do anything illegal, im already looking into moving to Canada if I cant get a perm visa for Oz. Also if I get a positive result from vetassess does that guarantee I will be able to claim points form it or would a Case Officer require more evidence? I've heard some people are requested to submit more info even after a positive assessment. Thanks for all your replies so far.
  15. I just looked over the VETASSESS info again and it says the employer refrence should be from the HR Department or a co-worker that was above me. 1. Could our old receptionist write the letter? 2. Or could a Project Manager/Designer who used to work for our company write it as he has now set up his own architectural company?
