  1. We "may" (crosses fingers and toes) have found a sponsor!! everything so far is sounding fab! what will the procedure be for this visa (ive looked on the gov website etc) but i mean is it the same skills assesments, heath checks, police , etc etc. Or do you just bypass some (ie- skills because you have already been chosen for that ?) in peoples experiences how long has this taken and how soon were you expected to land in Oz? i have been told on this visa you cant purchase property so we would have to rent until we went for PR? anything else we need to know? thanks
  2. the only one that is sponsoring says that i need to be employed in carberra before applying surely that defeats the object ? anyway back to husbands profession, we can get in on his, just thought mine might be a quicker or less hassle way
  3. Just furthering out search which Go Matilda, How do we look into what are each state has on there list? Is there a website? Sorry if this is a dumb question? :err:
  4. we dont mind doom and gloom - better to know the truth than to waste money and travel/hotel fees that could be in the new life fund!
  5. has anyone ever been to one? http://www.downunderlive.co.uk/event-london.php its in feb, London is a 4 hour drive for us so would be nice to think its worth going to? We do fancy goignt o one of these expo's but want to make sure its the best one? thanks
  6. i have just this morning contacted go matilda and im doing my head in wanting a reply! haha
  7. the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (subclass 187) visa. is that avail to anyone outside australia wanting to move perminatly but has to be employed for 2yrs once in auz by the employer? also what makes tham an approved employer? my equine dipolma and other horse quals could put me on the horse trainer employment route, or if its not a viable option we will go down the route with my husband on the 190/189 visa (prob best option but just check all options) thanks
  8. thankyou, i was just looking into good agents too! i also thought that the 190 maybe a better idea, my husband has got qualifications, but again wether they are recognised is another matter. thankyou
  9. http://www.immi.gov.au/asri/occupations/a/airconditioning-and-mechanical-services-plumber.htm this one
  10. ok thankyou, also im told my husbands trade is more the Airconditioning and Mechanical Services Plumber - 334112 rather than the Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic (342111 and i can not find teh relevant asessing body?
  11. im also in the same boat, hubby is an air-con mechanic/plumber
  12. hey, im hoping to move in the near future too, i own 10 horses (i do deal, break/sell/school/compete/hunt/show and breed!) and we also run the family horsebox manufacturing business...so i admin that too, and im a riding instructor. What area is the horseiest in Australia? i always rely that anywhere in the world they appreachiate BHS qualifications and recognise them and have been offered work on a nice event yard nr perth. ive been looking at horse prices and think its similar to the uk, some cheap and cheerful and some over priced? whats the competitions like?
  13. sorry my keyboard is new, and my fast typing and new key layout hasnt helped!!!! coughs - proof read in future!!!
  14. ok, so my hubby and I want to move to Oz (poss Perth?) he is an Air-con & refrigeration plumber/mechanic so its on the occupation list. I believe we are ok to apply for 189 visa? This are our stats: Hubby 38yrs, work for same company for 18yrs doing the above,a nd for teh lat 2 years for our family company working on vehicles (still doing some air-com work but not his main part - he left his original job to help my poorly father for the family business) He has his 16th editin in electrical, and varies cerst but was going to take some extra courses and gain more certificates in his field - if they will be relevant over there? (we are currently trying to research what is what with that bit) he has 1 child who lives with his mum (will not be coming) Me - 28yrs, currently doing secretary/admin/purchasing/finance/HR/Payroll/accounts...... you name it for the family company! I hold a National Diploma in business management (and have worked doing that for 10yrs +), and also im a British Horse society reg riding instructor. (that is pretty sort after anywhere due to the high standard of examination world wide, so im confident id find work in either field) we are both english, and would take the IELTS Exam. We would hopefully have about $128,000 to bring - and 2 dogs!!! I have a cusion in Perth. i understand we both have to take medicals, and my hubby a skills test etc. so just incase you needed any info to help my question i thought best to explain what is what? or is there a basic guide anywhere? ive tried looking.?? do e have to do anything before applying for that EOI? ive obviously looked on the skillselect site but im so confused! (dont think the research i did 2 years ago has helped i just got my head around teh old visas and now this!) thankyou in advance!!
