  1. Thanks Paulr I have found out you can get 50% rebate and it's not means tested providing your working.
  2. I think that's what he did in Uk Loulouhew not in Oz. Thanks for info Colinmaclec, no wonder you find it so frustrating with the 12 month log.
  3. Ok that's good to know. My husband has very good rep round here and his boss is gutted that we want to move to Oz. What experience did you have in Uk?
  4. Thanks Paul. My husband has a very good reputation round here (not just saying that because I'm his wife lol) he has been offered many positions over years but has always remained loyal to his boss. Who is actually gutted that he wants to go to Oz. However I know that in Perth a lot is based on word of mouth and who you know to get your foot in the door. We were obviously concerned about the new rules of having to do 12 months log book and that it puts employers off. I just wanted to see what his income would be for 12 months before he got full license.
  5. Thanks for your replies. Yes Colinmaclec I've heard how difficult it had been since the change came in to place. It sounds like a complete nightmare. What can you expect to earn while on gap training if you're lucky enough to get a job?!
  6. Thanks Mad Cow, that is great thought it was about $70 a day, plus it has a link to the child care rebate section.
  7. Hi Does anyone know the cost for putting toddler in to nursery? Do the government do any rebate for working families? Just trying to work out cost of living. Thanks
  8. This does sound looks such a nightmare!! For those who have been fortunate to find work on restricted/provisional licence what is the average hourly rate?
  9. Hi We came out for a reccie in 2009 (can't believe it was that long ago!!) and have decided to start the visa application process. We are looking at moving NOR as my sister lives up that way. I don't want to live as far North as her (Butler). It really depends on where we can afford, but no further north than Joondalup. Anyway my husband is an electrician with 18 years experience. He currently does commercial (that is his preference), where is the majority of the work for him? just trying to see what his commute will be like? Thanks
