  1. Hi all, thoug I updated this thread, I must not have, anyway good news we were added to his 457 with no questions asked. file was submitted on the Monday and we had approval by the Thursday. flying out on 2nd April as my username suggests I am SUPER EXCITED
  2. Hi all Me again with yet another question. i am moving to Perth in 5weeks and have an 8year old who is due to make her communion here in Ireland but we will be leaving before the big day. was wondering how it works in WA, as we cannot afford to send them to private school. I understand they can attend after school religion classes to facilitate these. also what month are the communion usually celebrated. many thanks
  3. Thanks everybody, my migration agent assessed my file on Friday before submitting it to immigration, she says I have enough so massive sigh of relief. just waiting on 2 of the kids passports to be renewed so I can put the passport number on the form for them. migration agent says it could take up to a month for our approval, do u think I would get approval quicker, we wanted to book flights end of march and when I priced April (just in case we run into problems) the flights are nearly €500 dearer.
  4. Oh no, not what I want edge to hear, but great to hear other people's experience. Will pm you now. Thanks
  5. We are hoping to be living in ellenbrook by april this year. we Will need after school care for 3primary school children. is it expensive? Do u pick an after school provider or are there specifics for your cachment area/school. do I just contact the local primary school closest to us and enroll children there. what are the school hours. D they start early/ finish early? Thanks for any replies :-)
  6. contact your local health centre, they should be able to trace them. i contacted the immunisation section in the hse for the same reason, and thats who they told me to contact
  7. Thanks so much for the breakdown littlemisswildchild! Very much appreciated!
  8. thanks littlemisswildchild, congrats on the visa!!! your letters sound beutiful, i would end up with a book if i started writing about our lives, im gonna try relax a bit more. OH loves to tell me to 'relax' aaarrrggghhhh!!! am also going to cut back on the info i send in as i am using an agent, i had a binder full of emails txts phone calls, flight details etc to prove our relationship as he has been away so long i was worried they wouldnt take our relationship seriously. going to send in: -pictures of us as a couple and as a family -random emails (reduced to the last 12months) -a houshold bill in my name and a household bill in his name -both our polling cards from electoral register (again same address) -kids birth certs (our address is on all of these too) -front page of my bank acc (showing address) -front page of his bank acc (showing adress). is this enough for de-facto on 457 temp visa?
  9. Thanks Snifter, i think i am feeling slightly overwhelemed by all the paperwork and crossing the T's and dotting the I's i will absolutely be sending in all supporting documentation, im just concerned we will ger refused :-( himself thinks im going nuts, as his employer is more than happy to add us and has said from the begining we wont have an issue. Im a natural worrier!
  10. thanks for replying, i just seen that on another website after i posted here i went googling. we are only going as secondary applicants on his 457. we are not going to apply for PR until myself and the children are in australia a good while and settled. there is still 2years left on his sponsorship. have i got this all a*seways, everything is just so complicated and conflicting information on different sights, im presuming that since for any standard application is to prove 6months de-facto that our children who are 9,8 &6 prove beyond a doubt our relationship?
  11. Hi All, i was wondering if anybody has done this and can give me any tips. do i write a letter myself about our relationship. i am applying to go on my fiances 457 visa, and i am scared my application will be refused if we dont have enough evidence. he has been in perth since sept 2010 but has flown home 3 times ( once for 6 weeks, second time for 5 months and 3rd time for 3 weeks) i have also been to perth once in July 2011 to visit him. we have 3 young kids together so that is why i have not joined him in perth but now with the economy in ireland, i have decided to go and join him in australia. so far i have: -photos of us together dating back 11years (not many as we seem to take lots of the kids these days) -houslehold bills in his name and ones in my name, correspondance going to the same address for both of us (how much is enough) -regular emails to and fro each other - we skype twice a week religiously but i cant see anywhere i can print off the history?? (was going to put this in stat declaration) -polling cards addressed to both of us at the same address - seperate bank accounts with address on them - and obviously we have 3 children together. do you think i should put anthing else in. how should i word a stat declaration, and do i get it stamped or signed by somebody. very confused. tia
  12. Yea I have a lot of correspondence for himself and me coming here.... Hope our app goes straight forward! Thanks for taking the time to reply. This is a great site, glad I found it plenty of tips and info
  13. Thanks for the reply. We don't have a joint mortgage. It is solely his mortgage, although I have lived here since the day it was bought. Has never been an issue til now ofcourse . We have a joint account but its empty we don't use it and haven't in years but its still there as got a statement a few weeks ago? Electric bill is in his name and gas is in my name all for same address? See this is why I'm concerned?
  14. My fiancé is on a 457 in perth on his own. I stayed in Ireland with our 3children living in his house. we are together over 10years and financially he had to work abroad as massive mortgage and no work here. i was initially against the idea of emigrating he has come home every 3-4 months for a few weeks so it has been do-able. now it is make or break and I have said I will go to perth and try the new life for the kids. He is going to add me and the kids as secondary applicants and his employer is fully supportive, I'm worried we will get refused because he has been there so long without us. Am I worrying unrealistically or do you think we will be ok. He thinks I'm over reacting but I'm not so sure???
