  1. I was pregnant when applied for 190 visa, delayed MED until the baby was born, for the whole family and even asked our CO to allow us to upload new PCC so that we could have the later entry date, so we submitted PCC again, together with the Med. And the advantage was that, believe it or not we did not have to pay visa fee for the newborn
  2. Hi First, I was called to do the Med, and I attached Change in circumstances form, where I informed my CO that I was pregnant and asked for the delay in Med. Co approved , and instructed me to notify him when the child is born, so that the Co can add him to the application and create his HAP Id for the Med. When our son was born, I made him a passport and BC, sent them to our CO, and he added him to the application, and gave him HAP ID. Then, we did our Med and received the grant.
  3. I was pregnant on my 190 visa, and postponed Medicals , gave birth to my son and then put him as well in the application. I really think that the CO will not extend your entry date, but fingers crossed . You can always activate your visa now, and return to UK. Good luck.
  4. Why don`t you apply To Vetassess and ask for a Points Test Advisory letter ? They assess uni degrees for migration, i claimed points and had the letter.
  5. I was in the same boat, but I did not need all 8s. I paid for a re-mark, but they did not change the mark from 7.5 in writing. Good luck !
  6. Call him. A lot of people, including me, who applied in January for a 190 visa, got their visas, after submitting all the documents and calling their CO team.
  7. Hi, we are in the same boat. We are planning to activate our PR in WA,and then to move next year. I too must bring my mother to Perth, I was thinking about a tourist visa, she could stay up to 12 months.
  8. Wait, did you do a skills assessment ? You have two options : 1. Your skills assessment body will do assessment of the qualifications as well 2. ( My case ) Apply for Vetassess Points Test Advice - I gained assessment through testing, therefore NAATI did not assess my qualifications, so I had to apply to Vetassess
  9. I think you get the same points , 15 for Bachelor and MA, so it really does not matter.
  10. I did, within 24 working hours, I got it. But sometimes it takes time, be patient .
  11. Yes you can, with two different e-mails, I did it, so I know. When you put your identification document, put one for one EOI, like passport number, and another one for another EOI, like birth certificate number. BUT ! You do not need to do so, because VIC is the only state which does not request EOI for SS application and approval. I got VIC SS without EOI, and they responded within 24 hours. My advice is to make one EOI for the time being , and apply for SA, and to make a SS application to VIC without making EOI. Good luck .

    Injustice!!!

I agree with arq, people who would like to apply for 489, invested a lot of time and money, as well as we on 190 visas, or people on 189 visas. It would be fair to tell them in advance that only 15 people per round would receive the invitation, and that not all occupations would be eligible for that visa. Australian assessment bodies received money for assessments people did, believing that they would have a real chance for applying for that visa.
  13. I was in the same boat, did not claim points when filling EOI, did not need them, however, I filled the data when filling my visa application, and the CO did not ask for any proof.

    Pregnant

Another thing, it seems that we do not need to pay visa fee for the newborn baby
  15. I am about to add a newborn to the 190 visa application, and I have seen on DIAC site that I don not need to pay . " You do not need to pay the additional applicant charge for newborns that are born after you lodge your application, and before we have made a decision on the application." Is this true ? Has anyone been in the same situation ?

    Pregnant

I was also pregnant when submitted my EOI, I am the primary applicant, and when applied for a visa. When CO asked for Med, I have sent her pregnancy report from the hospital, and asked her to postpone medicals for the whole family. She approved, I had to fill Change of Circumstances form, and CO has asked me to send her baby`s birth certificate and travel document when I receive them. I gave birth two weeks ago, got the BC, but not the travel document. When I send it to my CO, she will ask us to do the Medicals, and approve our visa. Hope it helps.
  17. @rachel 85 My ex signed a statutory declaration, in front of a court official. CO asked for form 1229, and a scanned copy of his passport. You don`t need to have a solicitor, it`s a waste of money. If you wish, I will PM you the text we used.
  18. As far as I know, today is a public holiday in Australia.
