Can I submit two different EOIs for two different state for 190 visa ?
bhupen008 posted a topic in Visa Chat
Dear All , I need your suggestion on whether I can submit two different EOI for Victoria and SA . I want to ask this because SA and Victoria are still open for ICT : Business Analyst. I am worried that if I apply for Victoria then I will miss the SA as Victoria takes almost 12 + weeks to decide on the application and if I apply for SA then I feel like I am missing the chance of trying for Victoria, although I have less hope to get sponsored by Victoria as I have 60 points only. So , please let me know if It is possible to apply in different states with different EOI ? So, that I will not loose opportunity from other states like NSW , ACT and etc. Answers will be very much appreciated. Thanks ! Regards, bhupen008 -
Dear All, My circumstances are the following: I updated my EOI yesterday with the scores of a new PTE Academic test that I took the day before, and I increased my EOI score from 55 to 65 points (due to superior English). Hence, I became eligible for a 189 invitation under the ANZSCO code 261312 (Developer Programmer). But last week, on the 6th of April (Monday), I received a invitation to apply to a 190 nomination from NSW. And now I have a difficult decision to make: The next invitation round is April 24th, and I believe that I have great chances of getting a 189 invitation since according to the results of the previous round (from April 10th), the minimum scores that received invitations for my profession were of 60 points (I have 65 now) with a date of effect of March 12th (mine is April 14th now). However, I have a deadline of April 21st, which is three days before the next invitation round, to submit my 190 application to NSW. But if I do so, I am afraid they could issue a 190 invitation on SkillSelect before the system has the chance to run the next allocation process for the 189. I know NSW's official processing time is 12 weeks, but I also know that they began a new program in January and are starting with fewer invitations in the first months of this new program. Hence, I am afraid they could process my application too soon. Nonetheless, I do not know for sure whether receiving a 190 invitation from them would prevent the system from issuing a 189 invitation right after, as long as I qualify. In addition, I can see on the Occupation Ceilings page that there are only 268 invitations left for my profession; therefore, I am also afraid to end up with nothing if I do not submit my 190 application by April 21st and SkillSelect does not send me a 189 invitation due to the occupation ceiling, even though it seems unlikely. This is why I would like to know if anyone faced a similar situation, and ever received a 189 invitation after a 190 invitation.

Hello, I submitted EOI for 189 and 190 visas. I have already got invitation for 189 and applied for state nomination from SA. Today SA immigration refused application saying that My queries: I dont know why they could not locate my EOI. I checked several times and found EOI ID is correcr. Is there any possibility that it happened because of 189 visa invitation? In this case, can I submit another EOI for 190 visa only as my current EOI is locked for 60 days because of 189 invitation? For some personal reasons, I prefer applying 190 over 189. I need one more info please. If I do not apply for 189 visa after getting this invitation, will it affect if I apply 190 or 189 later on? Thanks in advance for your cooperation. Best regards, mwn

The Australian Capital Territory (ACT) is not going to be accepting applications for ACT nomination from overseas residents after the close of the business day today, the 25th (Australia - Canberra - time). Overseas applicants will not be able to apply for ACT nomination of a Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa until the program reopens in July 2014.
