I don't know, sorry, but hopefully someone on here can help......

Yes, well coming from Old Swan, I remember that one too. :-) I had a friend who spent a week on a caravan site called "Yn Agor" (Open).
PS All those Welsh lessons are obviously doing me no good. I spelt diolch wrong. Typing error, honest!
Don't worry about it - I had to double-write my Welsh text, as auto correct and predictive text was playing havoc with it!

Da iawn am ddysgu Cymraeg! (Well done for learning Welsh!). Definitely honorary Welsh!

No, you won't need to get your skills assessed by AITSL.
Good luck with it all!

Hi all,
Yes, Primary School Teacher 241213 is still on the CSOL, towards the bottom of the list. I think the main problem is the fact that it is on the CSOL means that you need state sponsorship. Only a few states have it on their lists, and all but one (Victoria) need you to have a job offer. Victoria needs you to be able to teach certain languages.
Hope this helps!

If you let us know what your jobs are, people on here will certainly help with advice.
Below are the links to the SOL (Skilled Occupation List) and the CSOL (Consolidated Skilled Occupation List)......

Hi i am a primary teacher with 15 yrs experience and have just got my 190 permanent visa with my husband and two girls as dependants. Its been a tricky process and i sat the IELTS in sept 2012 so its taken since then really, however I had to wait a long time for my transcripts from uni. Now we have a permanent visa we. Have to activate within a year then have a further 4 years to move! The visa we got was sponsored by WA as that is the only state sponsoring primary teachers at the moment and i had to wait to be invited. I hope that helps a bit! Ask any questions if you have any
I'm afraid that WA have recently put Primary School Teacher on Schedule 2, which means they want you to have "an offer of full-time employment for 12 months in nominated region in nominated or closely related occupation".

Yes, part of the contract with the Exchange is that you return to the same school. Exchanges are usually for a year, starting January (beginning of Oz school year). Amazing experience!
For us it would have to be a 190 Visa with state sponsorship as Primary School Teacher is on the CSOL not the SOL, which means you need state sponsorship. We have no option really but a 190 visa, as we're getting on a bit!

Hi!
Are you the main applicant for the Visa?
Primary School Teacher 241213 is on the CSOL, so you would need state sponsorship. Also, have you had your skills assessed by AITSL?
Good luck with it all!

We are still in Wales - did a Teacher Exchange a few years ago in Australia and would love to go back, but it isn't easy! Have you had your skills assessed with AITSL yet? It's a lot of paperwork to gather, and can take a few months for the assessment to come through.

Hi! The above exerpt is from the NT link I posted, which is from the 190 Visa NT page....... but maybe I'm misunderstanding something? Let me know if the agents tell you different.
We are Primary School teachers, and in the last year have seen WA put Primary School teacher on Schedule 2, meaning you need a job offer, Victoria saying that you need to be able to teach at least one language from their list, and NT saying that you need a job offer....... It's just getting harder and harder! It's because we aren't in demand any more..... Hope it starts getting put back on state lists! Good luck with everything, and let me know if you hear anything positive!

I was under the impression that Northern Territory ask for Primary Teachers to ' provide evidence of having received an offer of employment in their nominated occupation or a closely related occupation ' in order to get State Sponsorship........

Pedestrian crossings sound like you're counting down to a race, and you feel as if you have to walk really fast when the green man shows, as the bleeps are so manic!......... Great fun!
Found a clip of one on YouTube, so will try to put a link below......

Avo...Avacado
Servo..Petrol Station
Reno...Renovation/Renovating
Macca's....Mc Donald's fast food
All sweets are called Lollies :chatterbox: wether it's has a stick or not!
Ice Lollies....Icy Pole....again with or without a stick!
And as some one else mentioned , make sure you park facing the way your driving, I was caught out by this lol until some kind lady said if I new I was parking illegally :embarrassed:
Its funny to watch TV and the presenters/news reader seem to use all these shortened slang words also...takes some getting used to. I'm not into these sorts of shortened slang type word, in the UK or here so I say it as it is....the whole word lol
We parked in north NSW once, and drove nose-in. Someone came up and pointed out that you had to reverse in (which the signpost said, to be fair), so we had to re-park. As we walked along the road, we watched three people reverse into parking bays, and crash into the sign posts, which were really close to the kerb.........!!
