He knew ..he told me it would be the 2nd of march thats why I booked the 5th .. and in 5 hours I will be leaving for oz .. and will see my wife ..:smile:

VISA GRANTED ........ my visa has just been granted just in time for the flight in tomorrow morning .. good luck all

I wish Andy!!! No I would actually be happy if we got a bit of an estimate from our CO instead! Flights are booked for the man to go offshore (end of his Tourist Visa's coming up) hoping the end of the TV and the PMV grant coincide... We're using the end of his tourist visa as an excuse to head o/s for a little holiday before he has to come back and start work (and before wedding madness begins!)

 

Might have to email the CO in the next couple of days to try to get a bit of an idea of a time frame.... fingers crossed

Ok flight is booked for tuesday CO assures me visa granted monday morning ..I sent copy of flight info and its all good ..heres hoping others get theres sorted quickly and remember the next time the DIAC visa wheel of fortune spins it could be you :biggrin:

hey kitty I just checked the flight I had planned to book its just gone up 3500 euro ..haha I guess I wont be going on tuesday then .. I have been waiting for CO to mail me back today with an exact date but so far nothing ..I have a job to start on the 14th of feb so this is starting to get really tight for me now ..I love playing DIAC wheel of fortune ..

Is this visa grant week ? Who knows were will the DIAC wheel of fortune will land this week ..IT COULD BE YOU ..:biggrin:

quick update .. I sent CO an email about booking flights and what not ..unfortunately hes out of office until wednesday so with a bit of luck I will be on the plane next monday/tuesday ..last week in feb time for granting please DIAC ..if any july /august applicants have an update please share ..

I too want to book my tickets at least 2 months in adv but it is difficult with these time processes changing all the time!!!

Hi ..No not yet i Have it all sorted and picked ..I was told it would be done by the 2nd of march but wit the clause on the bottom saying time frame not guaranteed so I am just going to wait ..the prices have not changed much and only seem to go up a couple of euros every few days ..Was really hoping it would of been last week but its not to be I have seen some other grants of people who applied the same day or a little after me so I am hopeful they will sort it in this coming week ..

by the way if anyones intrested skyscanner seems to be the cheapest I can find for flights around 680 euro from dublin maybe cheaper from uk and thats to darwin .

lets hope there's some granting done on friday ..flight picked everything ready just need to get grant and fly ...here is hoping that it wont be another week

My case officer is KP. Can anyone tell me if she granted a visa less than 8-9 month before?

Hi Nickocs he is alo my CO I was quoted 6-8 months just under 7 months now so it seems to run at what they have said I,m afraid sorry to give you bad news but I think its better if you know what time frame your in for .. the wait is the killer

Yeah my C.O. said 6-8 months and its been 6 and a half months now......Just got an email!!! VISA HAS JUST BEEN GRANTED!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Andy, Fingers crossed that August applicants are getting approved soon.....It seems to depend on the C.O. i think as I have seen quite a few July people being approved. Who is your C.O. Andy - 2nd March is not too far away!! I would be absolutely made up if I have it as early as the beginning of March as I have work in the UK only until 8th and I have booked flights back to Oz for mid March as can still use my tourist visa for that period. Fingers crossed ))

my co was KP .. what date in august did you apply it seems that a week or so after we applied they changed it from 6-8 months which is what we were quoted to 8-9 months .. hopefully they start granting this week ..

Haha I'm an August applicant and unfortunately I can't give an update as I haven't heard anything. Its still 2 months away from the 8-9 month mark though so I'm not too surprised. My case officer is pretty tight lipped too so I'm a bit scared to send any chasing emails! We're just keeping ourselves busy and not thinking about it too much. Its amazing how quickly the weeks go by when we just get on with things and get stuck into planning what we're going to be doing in Oz.

 

Its great to hear everyone's news - its keeping me all excited about when mine will be granted I hope there's more news of grants soon!

I hope this week we will see them coming through ..its funny I was giving the date the 2nd of march but that is a Saturday so I am hoping its the 1st ...lets see some good news this week..

Wow...fantastic! Congrats - only 7 months processing! I take it you too were quoted 8-9 initially?

 

And out of curiosity what did you say/do to prompt your CO to confirm when your visa would be granted? Was it because you were planning to travel as a tourist to Oz, anyway?

to be honest I did pester him quite a bit before I got an answer and a date ..when the holiday visa was granted last week we contacted him and after a few email back and forth he told us ..so a little nudge can help

I applied to the London office with a front loaded application on 24th July 2012. KP is my CO

congrats square what date did they give you ?I allied on the 1st of august and sorted on the 2nd march ...

Just about to post my spouse visa application to the High Commission... Here's hoping we can get everything processed and approved by November.

 

Does the time it takes to complete related to your circumstances? I.e. lots of things to prove? Or is it pretty much the same for everyone?

from what I have seen it doesn't really matter they process more or less in order except there has been a few cases on here of people been granted after other applicants when they applied first ..but that may be down to individual CO s or other influences at play .. sorry for the bad news processing times are usually what they have stated ...

Hello everyone ..I have just received confirmation from CO that the visa will be granted on the 2nd of march ..I had planed on going on a holiday visa but when we received this confirmation have decided to wait ..I cant believe that this all over and I get to see my wife and start our future ..I hope for anybody waiting that there visa is granted soon and would like to thank everyone on here for there support and advice ..:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

Spoke to my CO this week and she said that they're still looking at April for mine, which would be 9 months. If she gets the go-ahead to process more and if she can push ours through any earlier then she will, but at this stage it's still looking like the full 9 month period for me.

just got granted my tourist visa ... wasnt asked for anything granted in 5 days .. just got too sort out whats needs to be sorted and then I get to see my wife .. couldnt be happier today ..

Check your email. Are you sure it didn't end up in spam or somewhere? It is all in a PDF attached so pehaps your spam filter pulled it. Or did you not select to be contacted electronically perhaps?

No I have checked all emails and been in contact with CO .. I did not receive any correspondence from them after my medicals where done or PCC were sent in ,,the only mail I have received was telling me I got a new CO .. so it makes me wonder if others have not recieved this mail either

Ok holiday visa applied for cant wait I get to see my lovely wife again after 4 long months ..

Was just reading a post from someone who applied in mid September and received a mail saying your visa will be granted in the timescale stated ,, I never recieved any email like that and I am just wondering How many people recieve this email and why some people do and some people do not ??

Tourist visa (if the 3 month one) is quick. As in hours or a few days at most in my experience.

We have decided to apply for a tourist visa and have sent our CO a mail to let him know of our intent ..can anyone tell me how long it takes for this to visa to be granted ??
