He knew ..he told me it would be the 2nd of march thats why I booked the 5th .. and in 5 hours I will be leaving for oz .. and will see my wife ..:smile:

Ok flight is booked for tuesday CO assures me visa granted monday morning ..I sent copy of flight info and its all good ..heres hoping others get theres sorted quickly and remember the next time the DIAC visa wheel of fortune spins it could be you :biggrin:

hey kitty I just checked the flight I had planned to book its just gone up 3500 euro ..haha I guess I wont be going on tuesday then .. I have been waiting for CO to mail me back today with an exact date but so far nothing ..I have a job to start on the 14th of feb so this is starting to get really tight for me now ..I love playing DIAC wheel of fortune ..

you never know they might send you the letter saying it will be granted ..worst comes to worst you ca a tourist visa I was granted one but didn't take it up as I was near the end ..haha I am still near the end ...I didn't hear anything from them at all only when I mailed them to ask them what was going on ..And you can probably expect something like this back ..processing times are bla bla bla we advise you not to sell any property or cease employment ..will be in contact when I am in a position to finalize your app ...I have had about 4 of those .. So to answer your question I would just roll on with what your doing for another 3-4 months and if you don't hear by then maybe give them a mail ..and I you do go on a tourist visa let them know ..I have seen some people get there grant a small bit quicker because of this but not always ..good luck mate its a painful process and will freak you out and frustrate you ..but in the end it will be worth it ..

I also applied from Ireland ..I did not receive any correspondence about my medicals about more info needed nothing ..so believe me what george is saying is true ..To be honest when I didn't receive this letter saying the visa would be granted on ??? date I started to freak out reading that others had received this letter .My wife contacted my CO last month and just asked him out will the visa be granted .to be honest I would say she was sick of me freaking out about it ..he replied your visa will be granted should your circumstances not change and I am hopefully going to get my grant this week as the 2nd of march was mentioned ..So I wouldn't worry about it the less they contact you it seems the better off you are and If you don't receive the letter saying your visa will be granted try not to panic ..while it is unfair that some people will get assurance about the grant early on and that will put there mind at rest others will not like me, but It all seems quite normal ..unfair yes but normal ..

quick update .. I sent CO an email about booking flights and what not ..unfortunately hes out of office until wednesday so with a bit of luck I will be on the plane next monday/tuesday ..last week in feb time for granting please DIAC ..if any july /august applicants have an update please share ..

Hi ..No not yet i Have it all sorted and picked ..I was told it would be done by the 2nd of march but wit the clause on the bottom saying time frame not guaranteed so I am just going to wait ..the prices have not changed much and only seem to go up a couple of euros every few days ..Was really hoping it would of been last week but its not to be I have seen some other grants of people who applied the same day or a little after me so I am hopeful they will sort it in this coming week .. by the way if anyones intrested skyscanner seems to be the cheapest I can find for flights around 680 euro from dublin maybe cheaper from uk and thats to darwin .

lets hope there's some granting done on friday ..flight picked everything ready just need to get grant and fly ...here is hoping that it wont be another week

Hi Nickocs he is alo my CO I was quoted 6-8 months just under 7 months now so it seems to run at what they have said I,m afraid sorry to give you bad news but I think its better if you know what time frame your in for .. the wait is the killer

before Looks like AB is grant happy this week .. It would be great if mine was processed before the 2nd so I could get a flight asap but hey the said the 2nd so atleast I have a rough idea .. congrats to everyone who got there visa today ...
