I only lodged 190 visa last week and it said next step to arrange the medical. Do we just go ahead and do this or wait for a case officer to contact us? Does the same apply for obtaining our police checks? Also, who needs to verify the supporting documents? Do we just scan them in to computer and attach them? I'm confused. Somebody on the helpline said do nothing until we hear from a case officer but reading here, everybody started getting their documents together straight away. thanks Lindsey

Hi I lodged my visa application last week after having passed expression of interest stage. When I key in my TRN number and password online it says steps to do next 'arrange medical'. However, when I rang the immi helpline the advisor said I should not arrange a medical until advised to do so by a case officer (which I have not yet been allocated). Has anybody else recently applied for 190 and know the exact process as I find the website not very user friendly. Please help. Thanks. Lindsey

Hi. I put my EOI in for visa 190 for WA on 7th Dec but am yet to hear anything ... I only have 60 points and am a nurse. Does your invitation come quicker depending on your occupation and amount of points? Somebody told me that WA don't care how many points you have as long as you meet the minimum criteria. I am confused.

I am a nurse too and I'm going through visa process at the moment with a view to emigrating this time next year with my soon-to-be husband. Hi I am a nurse and my skills assessment went through last week. It only took 8.5weeks.

You need 60 points for visa 190. I had 55 but then because I want to go on the 190 sponsored by WA I will get an extra 5 points so have the 60 overall.
