  1. Even though I've had no replies, thought I'd mention that this get-together is now this Wed instead of Thurs as Thurs is going to be too hot! Same venue, same time. Sal
  2. [h=2]Bayside Mums get-together on Thursday 24 January[/h] Hi there all Mums in the Bayside area (new and old) Getting together at Chelsea Adventure Playground, Scotch Parade, Chelsea, next Thursday 24 January at 2pm. This is a great play area for kids of all ages and if they get bored with the playground, there's a huge park and skate park across the road. Hope to see you there! Sal
  3. Hi Matilda, welcome to Melbourne! I live in Highett, kids to go to school in Sandringham, great place to live and only 10k to the city. Just met up with Michelle ('Tibby'), see the above thread. Send us a message when you move in January or if you want to meet up before then (before Christmas), let me know. Sal

    Kite Surfing

My husband's learning and we live in Bayside where alot of the kiteboarders go, ie, Hampton, St Kilda and further down the peninsula in Rye. Quite frustrating as it's so weather dependent (when you're learning) but worth it! Give us a shout when you arrive - my husband's always looking for people to learn with. Sal

  9. Totally agree with you, I love the weather in Melbourne and couldn't stand endless sunshine in the northern States. Moved from Scotland so anything is better than there!
  10. Hi, we've been living in Melbourne for the last 3 years and loving it. Originally moved from Scotland to Sydney as my husband got a job there but after 10 months he was transferred to Melbourne. Didn't want to leave Sydney but now I wouldn't go back. Melbourne is a fantastic city if you like culture, sport and of course, the great outdoors. Have only visited Perth but it doesn't have the culture Melbourne has and if your wife is looking for that type of job, Melbourne would be a better option. I would feel very isolated in Perth, Melbourne is closer to Sydney and the eastern coast and in my view, probably alot more going on. Hope this helps.
  11. Hi, I've just joined. Been living in Melbourne for the last 3 years and loving it. Would love to meet up with anyone living in or around Melbourne CBD or Bayside.
