  1. Hi Lorraine I only looked into this yesterday. Your family sponsor needs to complete a Skilled Regional (class SP) 489 (provisional) visa Sponsor declaration which you can email to them as a PDF copy (see immi website) and I copied this off the website and emailed it to my sister in law: Documents needed if you are sponsored by an eligible relatives □ Documents to prove your sponsor is an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen. • For Australian citizens—a certified copy of their citizenship certificate or, if born in Australia, their full birth certificate. • For Australian permanent residents—a certified copy of their visa or the biographical page in their passport or their visa grant letter. • For an eligible New Zealand citizen—a certified copy of their certificate issued under the Social Security Act 1991. Eligible New Zealand citizens may also need to meet health and character requirements. The department will advise. □ Documents to prove your relationship to you sponsor. Acceptable documents include certified copies of: • birth certificates • marriage certificates • family registers • school records. □ Certified copies of any name change (for example by deed poll or marriage), if applicable, for your sponsor. □ Documents to prove your sponsor lives in a designated area. Acceptable documents include certified copies of: • property titles • leases • invoices for items such as telephone, gas, electricity that show a date and your sponsor’s name and address. Hope this helps. We're just starting the whole process so any tips would be appreciated. We've just booked our IELTS test for January and aren't sure at the moment what to expect. I've read you need to approach it like a foreigner (assume this to mean someone with English not being their first language) but I'm not sure what people mean by this. Cheers Louise
  2. Sorry for quizzing you but did you apply under external auditor because you had completed the audit professional option and/or worked in audit? I ask because neither my husband or I have done audit neither in our options nor in our work experience. We both work currently in the civil service at senior levels but more in general accounting. Much appreciated Louise
  3. There are some other posts on here about the same thing. Have a look at the thread if you havent already http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/140660-acca-how-many-points-awarded.html It's interesting you went through ICAA for assessment as there appears to be mixed views on the forums. Did you have any problems with them. Also it would be useful to know which accounting code you applied under. I gave CPA London a call today and they were extremely helpful. They said all documents can be sent to them in London and they will ensure they are all certified correctly and send them on to the Melbourne office.
  4. I have been looking at this and if you are professionally qualified ACCA then you get 15 points according to http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/booklets/1119.pdf as ACCA is classed as equivalent to a degree as long as you are a full member. Can I ask who assessed you for migration? We have read ICAA is better if you are ACCA qualified but no undergraduate degree but then some sites refer you to CPA for assessment. Lou
