I have the same problem and am not sure which area to live in for a short term before I buy a house. I have been offered a job in South Perth, Hammond Park area to be exact and would like to know what areas would be nice to live with a young family. Thanks.

Hi, I am also looking for a short term rental property. I have found that the high quality rental accommodation is quite expensive. I am basically looking for South of the river, close to Hammond Park as thats where I have been offered a job. I was thinking about anywhere in Coogee but could not find much on realestate.com.au The ones that I liked were a bit too expensive. Therefore I am not sure what to do. My employer has said that I should look for a place in South Perth as living in North and driving in to south on a daily basis can be very tedious due to frequent traffic jams. I am planning to buy once I am settled in my job. So any advice about a nice, affordable, safe area for a young family in South Perth would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance. MARK
