Gav, I could understand your situation from the post and want to have an update on ur present state. As it is rightly said, getting an Employer sponsership is truly amazing but not too many gets that. It is the toughest route. I would recommend to work on ur VISA and then approach the recruiter. As far as the Energy Industry is concernerd, it looks like there are available jobs in the sourcing websites, but am not sure whether that many opportunities are open. But still hoping for the best, if you thought of moving, start the process in the name of Lord.... How was the job expo....any thought to share... Regards, Sengan

Thanks for all your post...I am likely to move by 3rd quarter of the year.Thanks to Dysty and Paul for their thoughts. I could understand both of their view points. Have got Engineering & Project Design Co-ordination experience for 7 years in Power plant Engineering & consulting areas and looking for similar office based role when I move over there to WA. Currently associated with US based organization and willing to take up permanent rolls in Aussie. Give me some input on the Demand for such profile in general what are the Engineering companies in WA having Engg & project management tasks executed from WA offices.... What could be the expected salary for a guy with 7 years experiece in Engineering & Project co-ordination profile. other guys..pls help me with the info which u have known. Regards, Senga

Like to read all your experience in finding your first job and through your opinion on opportunities and market at present for an Engineering position in energy Sector companies.
